This client initially contacted us in 2015, because he was starting to consider doing something with his crawl space. After receiving several tips, he postponed the project until he decided what he wanted to do exactly. In May 2018, he contacted us again to tell us that he wanted to sign with us. He wanted us to completely encapsulate the house of the earth and solve the problem of water infiltration that appeared. So we installed a crawl space drain so that the water was collected and redirected to the SuperSump sump pump system. Finally, the CleanSpace membrane isolates the house from the earth so that the water vapor does not humidify the space.

Mr. Haddad recently noticed high humidity in his house and this made the room environment uncomfortable. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to resolve the problem and make his home comfortable.

The problem

An uninsulated crawl space. There was a lot of humidity there and it came from the ground and from outside.

The solution

Insulate well the crawl space of Mr. Haddad. For this, our experts insulated the walls with our SilverGlo panels. 2 '' thick insulation with radiant barrier to isolate the cold and reflect heat inside the crawl space. And then they covered the floor with our CleanSpace coating. With a thickness of 20mm, the coating is specially designed for crawl spaces. Robust, composed of polyethylene and antimicrobial, it insulates the floor of the house and blocks humidity.

By having the walls and the floor well insulated, Mr. Haddad will no longer have a problem with humidity in his house. He now has a clean and above all dry crawl space!

The problem: This client from Montreal noticed that there was sag of an inch and a half in his duplex. So he decided to contact us to find out what could be done.

The solution: After inspecting the customer's basement, the solution proposed by our specialist John was to install a SmartJack. This product will help stabilize the customer's floor sag.

Our client Ms. Belley contacted us because her crawl space needed insulation. We installed a drainage membrane and completely encapsulated the crawl space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane. Then we installed a new sump pump system specifically made for crawl spaces. And to properly insulate the crawl space from the cold outside, we have installed insulation panels on all the walls.

Problem

Mrs. Laflamme had humidity problems in her crawl space. During her free inspection with our specialist, a humidity level of more than 64% was detected. The wooden support beams were rotting and the rim joists were sagging.

Solution

Encapsulate the crawl space with our CleanSpace drainage membrane and vapor barrier to block moisture from the earth floor. To reinforce the end joists, our experts installed our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars.
