This homeowner was tired of her dogs sneaking under the walkway next to their home. She knew that we are a reputable company serving her area, and she really liked what solutions we had to offer, so she decided to give us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Mike Schmidt to inspect the concrete walkway in order to determine what happened to the walkway and design a solution to fix the problem. Mike found that there was a large settlement problem with the walkway and that huge voids had formed between the concrete and the soil. This problem was partially due to rain and washout of the soil, but the dogs started making it worse when they dug under the soil. After reviewing the problem, Mike designed a solution to lift and level the walkway, then seal the concrete from having problems again, and the homeowner loved the sound of that. One of our installation teams came out to this home and utilized PolyLevel foam and NexuPro sealant to lift, level, and seal the concrete walkway. The homeowner was so happy with the final results stating that the crew did an amazing job. Check out the concrete walkway repair!
Luis and Ann F. love living in their La Vista, NE home and have no plans on moving. But they are concerned about their concrete and the tripping hazard that has formed. Looking for a concrete repair contractor and not knowing much about other solutions besides mudjacking, they decided to give us a call.
System Design Specialist Britton Wood went out to their home for an inspection. The concrete was facing significant settlement in multiple areas. In one area the bottom of the slab was visible. There was another area that was very rigid, uneven, and titled in front of the stair. In a different area, water was starting to pool around the foundation. The crew started with using PolyLevel, an injectable foam to raise the settled spots. We then applied NexusPro Joint Sealant to the cracks and joints to close them up. Louis and Ann were beyond thrilled with how everything turned out and their expectations were exceeded.
These homeowners wanted to maintain the beauty, and property value of their home. They had seen Thrasher do other jobs around the town and were impressed with out well they all turned out. They called Thrasher, and System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with them. Corey noticed the settled concrete, and determined the soil under the porch had shifting, causing voids in some points allowing a portion to crack and settle. Corey proposed we use our 2-Part Concrete Protection System. PolyLevel was used to lift and level the area that dropped, as well as stabilizing the ret of the porch to prevent it from settling. After lifting and stabilizing, NexusPro was used to caulk all joints and cracks to prevent water intrusion and give the patio a fresh new look. Check out the before and after pictures of this projects, attached!
Homeowner Bobbi Jo wanted to repair the concrete in front of her home in Blair, NE. The amount of settlement had created a tripping hazard. Bobbi Jo was worried about the impact this would have on the rest of the concrete. System Design Specialist Alan Ruiz was able to see that there was some water intrusion that had caused the soil to erode. The crew started by using PolyLevel under the concrete to level it again and then applied NexuPro Joint Sealant to all the joints to prevent water from getting under the slab again. Bobbi Jo was impressed by the final result and hard work the crew put in.
A homeowner in Blair, NE had noticed that the concrete leading out from her back door had begun to sink down. This was causing a tripping hazard and gave them concerns that someone would trip coming in or out the door. Wanting to fix the problem before it got any worse, they decided to have Thrasher come to see how we could help solve their problem.
After the inspection, our team decided that PolyLevel foam and our NexusPro solutions would work best for this customer. PoleyLevel foam expands under the concrete to lift and support the slab without adding any extra weight to the soil underneath. Then NexusPro is used to seal and protect the joints in the concrete preventing water or other chemicals from getting under the slab causing these issues again.
Our customer can now safely use their backdoor without the concerns of someone tripping over the settled concrete. They were thrilled with the results!
