Gerry was concerned that he had settlement issues which may be causing problems with his concrete.
We sent System Design Specialist Ian Pfister out to the home to provide a free inspection and explain how we can help. He determined that there wasn't a settlement issue and provided options to repair and extend the life of his driveway. We used PolyLevel Foam and Nexus Pro Joint Sealant to lift and level the concrete back to its original position and seal out moisture to prevent future problems.
This homeowner recently bought their home and wants to keep things in good shape. Unfortunately, the back patio had started settling and water was pooling. It ended up cracking the concrete and creating a bad tripping hazard. Since their grandchildren visit often, they knew it was important to get it fixed. They used Thrasher for a previous concrete project, so they knew exactly who to call.
We sent out Brandon Powers to visit the home and look at the concrete. He found that voids from soil erosion had formed beneath the patio causing the concrete to settle. On top of that two downspouts were discharging onto the patio creating additional opportunities for moisture to erode the soil beneath it.
To fix this issue and direct water away from the concrete, we used PolyLevel to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. We then used NexusPro to seal all cracks and joints. We also buried the downspouts under the patio which eliminated the tripping hazard.
The customer was relieved to know they wouldn't have to worry about their loved ones tripping at their home anymore.
This concrete driveway had a giant crack and was extremely unlevel! This can damage your car and can even be dangerous for you! To repair this driveway, we used PolyLvel to stabilize the concrete slab and make it level. Then we caulked that crack with NexusPro, leaving a safer driveway for everyone.
Henry A. knew that his driveway needed some help and general maintenance for a few years now. Since he knows he's going to be living in his home for a long time and tries his best to take care of his belongings, he figured now is as good a time as ever to invest in his concrete.
What exactly is going on with his driveway? A few things. Henry noticed the center of his driveway sags a little, creating a "gut check" when he's shoveling snow. There are also voids along the sides of the driveway and back patio. And on top of that, he's nervous that someone could trip where the walkway meets the driveway. Henry's biggest fear is that these little problems will get worse over time and end up costing him more down the road.
After looking into different concrete companies, he decided on Thrasher because of our professionalism, our BBB rating, and our experience. When we got Henry's call, we sent out our System Design Specialist, Brandon Powers, to inspect the driveway and come up with a plan of action.
After inspection, we decided to go with our level 3 Concrete Protection System throughout the walkway and driveway. This lifts and levels the concrete fills voids, repairs cracks, fills joints, and seals concrete to protect it from additional wear and tear.
And now it's good as new! We're happy Henry decided to take good care of his concrete and jump on these issues early to prevent bigger issues down the road.
This customer was worried about the cracks in their driveway and sidewalk getting even worse. Concrete cracks are a big liability because they can cause tripping accidents. In order to prevent this from happening, we stabilized all of the uneven concrete slabs, ensuring they're all on the same level. Then we dealt with the cracks. We sealed them all up with NexusPro, a flexible silicone-based sealant.
