Concrete Repair in Junction City, KS

Homeowner Sabino A. noticed that there was concrete settlement occurring and wanted to fix the problem before it became worse and spread. Looking for a company that had a long-lasting solution for concrete repair, he decided to call Thrasher Foundation Repair.

System Design Specialist Jon Grover went out to Sabino’s home. Upon inspection Jon was able to identify that the concrete had settled by the front entrance and sidewalk. Cracks had started to appear on the driveway as well. The crew installed a 3-part concrete protection system. PolyLevel was used to lift the concrete back up to the original position. Then NexusPro Joint Sealant was used to close the cracks and joints to prevent water from entering. Then SealantPro was applied to give the concrete a protective layer against chemicals, dirt and oils. Sabino was very happy with the final look of the concrete!

Concrete Repair in Junction City, KS

Christopher A. just purchased his home and plans on living in it for a few years. But he noticed the walkway leading to his front door was a little wonky. The concrete had settled and the steps and front door landing had voids, causing water to pool and potential foundation issues.

Christopher was worried. And didn't want it to get any worse or cause more damage. So he did a quick Google search and found Thrasher. He was impressed with our promise to fix and protect his home and our long-term warranty.

After he reached out and let us know about his problem, we sent System Design Specialist Josh Brown to inspect and develop a plan of action. We decided to lift, level, and fill voids with PolyLevel. Then we used NexusPro caulking to seal the control joints and fix the cracks, which also helps prevent water from washout the soil under the concrete. On top of that, we also buried the downspouts under the sidewalk to prevent future soil erosion in the area and protect his foundation.

Christopher was blown away and thought the Thrasher crews were great and exceeded expectations. Now, Christopher no longer has to worry about his walkway getting worse or causing more damage to his home.

Getting Driveway Ready for Selling in Junction City, KS

Ben wanted to sell his home. His driveway had deep cracks, and he didn't want that to complicate the sale or deter potential homebuyers. He needed a quick fix in a short timeframe, so he called Thrasher.

Travis Hickman, one of Thrasher's System Design Specialists, went out to Ben's home to see what we were working with. We found Ben's driveway had formed voids in the soil underneath the slab, and that's what was making it crack and settle. To fix we used PolyLevel to lift those slabs and fill in the voids with injected foam.

Ben was pleased with the results and the time frame we got them done.

Concrete Repair in Humphrey, NE.

Brock wanted the concrete raised around his home. He knew that the uneven slabs were tripping hazards, and didn't like the curb appeal of his concrete. The concrete was settling in different directions, which was caused by soil settlement over time. The joints of the concrete were also not sealed, allowing rain and moisture to penetrate beneath the concrete causing further settling and cracking. After the initial inspection, and proposal, Brock noticed more settling around the backside of his home. He was able to call our System Design Specialist, Brock, to talk about another solution to the new settlement in the back.

For this project, PolyLevel foam was used. PolyLevel foam works better than mudjacking, as the foam compacts the soil beneath, while lifting the existing concrete slabs. NexusPro was then used to seal the joints, to prevent rain and moisture from getting under the concrete. All of our concrete projects are backed with a 5-year warranty. Brock can now rest easy that his concrete won't cause tripping hazards any longer.
