Wiscasset, ME Basement Protected from Leaking Moisture with WaterGuard Installation

After many years of having a dry basement with no problems, this homeowner suddenly found themselves with two to four inches of water on their basement floor after some heavy rainfall. They called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we got to work right away to keep this basement safe from flooding in the future. As soon as our crew arrived at the home, their first objective was to excavate a trench into the perimeter of the concrete basement floor. This allowed for our WaterGuard piping system and a new SuperSump sump pump to be installed in the floor of the basement. Once covered by a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture in the future and guide it to the SuperSump before it has the chance to accumulate on the surface of the floor. The water will then exit the basement through the discharge line coming from the sump. This line, protected by an IceGuard pipe segment, will carry the water a distance from the home before depositing it onto the ground.

With a properly waterproofed basement, this homeowner can expect their basement to once again remain dry for many years into the future. The WaterGuard piping will now protect this basement from any heavy rainstorms that might have caused problems for the homeowner.

Waterproofing a Church Basement in Athens, Maine

System Design Specialist Craig Z. helped a local church in Athens, Maine that was getting water coming in onto their basement floor after rain storms. Water had already damaged the carpeting that was in the space, causing it to be removed. The church wanted the basement to be a usable space again. We installed a SuperSump Plus pump system to remove the water. The SuperSump can handle over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, pumping it away from the home to keep the basement dry.

Vapor Barrier Installation in Alna, Maine

We helped homeowners in Alna, Maine who had water coming into the basement through the old stone foundation walls. To address the water leakage, we installed CleanSpace Wall System, a vapor barrier that seals moisture out of the basement, directing it behind the liner down to the new WaterGuard drainage system. We poured a new concrete floor with WaterGuard, and a SuperSump pump. The SuperSump can handle over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, pumping it away from the home through an exterior buried discharge line. Not only will their basement stay dry, they now have an appealing space they can use without worry about damage to their belongings.

Together, they create a comprehensive waterproofing solution to keep the basement dry and prevent future water issues.

Flooding Waterville, ME Basement Kept Dry with WaterGuard Installation

Looking to keep their regularly wet basement dry, this Waterville, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems for their free estimate. Liking what we could offer them, they hired us right away to solve their moisture problems. First, to create a barrier protecting against leaking water, both a WaterGuard piping system and CleanSpace liner were installed around the perimeter of the basement floor and walls respectively. The CleanSpace liner will both brighten up the basement interior while providing protection against any moisture seeping through the concrete walls. This blocked water, as well as water leaking in from below the basement will enter the WaterGuard piping buried within the floor. Once inside these specialized pipes, the water is guided straight to a SuperSump installed nearby in the floor. With the help of an UltraSump backup battery for power outage protection; the SuperSump will remove any water that would have otherwise found its way to the surface of this basement floor.

With these new waterproofing solutions in place below their home, this homeowner can expect their basement to remain dry even during heavy rainfall. The WaterGuard & SuperSump duo will keep this home water-free for years to come!
