After many years of having a dry basement with no problems, this homeowner suddenly found themselves with two to four inches of water on their basement floor after some heavy rainfall. They called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems, and we got to work right away to keep this basement safe from flooding in the future. As soon as our crew arrived at the home, their first objective was to excavate a trench into the perimeter of the concrete basement floor. This allowed for our WaterGuard piping system and a new SuperSump sump pump to be installed in the floor of the basement. Once covered by a fresh layer of concrete, the WaterGuard piping will capture any leaking moisture in the future and guide it to the SuperSump before it has the chance to accumulate on the surface of the floor. The water will then exit the basement through the discharge line coming from the sump. This line, protected by an IceGuard pipe segment, will carry the water a distance from the home before depositing it onto the ground.
With a properly waterproofed basement, this homeowner can expect their basement to once again remain dry for many years into the future. The WaterGuard piping will now protect this basement from any heavy rainstorms that might have caused problems for the homeowner.

Water had already damaged the carpeting that was in the space, causing it to be removed. The church wanted the basement to be a usable space again. We installed a SuperSump Plus pump system to remove the water. The SuperSump can handle over 2,000 gallons of water per hour, pumping it away from the home to keep the basement dry.
New homeowners in Vassalboro, Maine discovered they had water coming into the basement and wanted to learn more about options for waterproofing the space. System Design Specialist Thomas R. met with the new owners and recommended a TripleSafe sump pump with WaterGuard interior perimeter drainage. WaterGuard captures water at the cove joint, where the foundation walls meet the floor. The WaterGuard piping is underneath the concrete floor, and brings the water to the TripleSafe sump to be pumped away through an exterior buried discharge line. The TripleSafe system can handle over 6,000 gallons of water per hour, pumping it away from the home and foundation.
We helped homeowners in Alna, Maine who had water coming into the basement through the old stone foundation walls. To address the water leakage, we installed CleanSpace Wall System, a vapor barrier that seals moisture out of the basement, directing it behind the liner down to the new WaterGuard drainage system. We poured a new concrete floor with WaterGuard, and a SuperSump pump. Not only will their basement stay dry, they now have an appealing space they can use without worry about damage to their belongings.
