We helped homeowners with their failing foundation wall, which was bowing and had shifting cinder blocks from hydrostatic pressure. We installed StableLock Wall, our patented foundation repair solution that keeps your home safely supported without needing any major excavation or jacking up the home. We pour a new concrete wall with specialized bracing adjacent to the failing wall to stabilize your home and stop any further shifting of the failing wall. Most StableLock Wall projects are completed in 2-3 days, and without any excavation. 

We helped homeowners in Mechanic Falls, Maine who had failing lally columns in their basement. The lally columns were rusting and the owners wanted to ensure the home had proper support. We installed SmartJacks, which are galvanized steel beams that can each hold 60,000 lbs of weight. We connected the SmartJacks to a new supplemental beam to help stabilize the home above. The zinc-coating on the steel protects the beams from rust so they will not have the same problem again.

After providing a free estimate, they wanted to move forward with replacing their old lally columns with new SmartJacks. SmartJacks are galvanized steel posts that are custom fit to stabilize the home above. Each SmartJack can support 60,000 lbs, and the zinc coating on the post keeps it protected from rusting. 

Westbrook, ME homeowners had major concerns over their bowing foundation walls, so they called TC Hafford Basement Systems for help. We installed StableLock Walls to repair the failing areas. StableLock is a concrete wall that is poured in front of the failing wall to prevent further shifting, and offer proper structural support to the home. Traditional foundation repairs involve lifting the home which is invasive and costly, but with StableLock Walls we can complete the repairs with no lifting of the home. 

We helped this New Gloucester, Maine crawl space that had cold, sagging floors, and the owners were also concerned about rodents and mold. Moisture had weakened a wooden support beam to the point that the beam was cracking and rotting away. The weakened beam was causing the floors above to sag. To address the moisture, we encapsulated the space with drainage matting and CleanSpace vapor barrier. These products work together to control the groundwater and seal moisture out of the crawl space, keeping the wooden supports protected from rot and mold. The encapsulation also seals off any access points so rodents cannot enter the space. We also installed SmartJacks and a new supplemental beam to keep the home properly supported. SmartJacks are steel posts that are custom fit and can be adjusted to lift and return the floors above to level. They have a zinc coating to prevent the posts from rusting. The homeowners now enjoy level floors, and their crawl space is dry and mold free!
