Al H. of Bettendorf, IA called MidAmerica Basement Systems because he was concerned about toxic radon gas and water in his crawlspace. He met with design specialist Clayton Spinler, and then foreman Bill Wilcox and his team. Bill and his team encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace Drainage Matting and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. The space looks great, and is protected from vapors, water, and odor. 

Krissy was noticing an excessive amount of moisture in the air, but could not pinpoint the source of the issue. She reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have her basement looked at, and to her surprise, it was her wet crawlspace. The untreated area was allowing ground water to seep into the crawlspace, causing excessive moisture in the rest of her home. A SmartSump and CleanSpace encapsulation was offered to address the issue, preventing water from pooling in the crawlspace and sealing the rest of the home off from the moisture. SilverGlo insulation was also installed to provide the adequate insulation for the area.

Sam was having doubt about his untreated crawlspace, his basement always seemed to be muggy. When he reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems, design specialist Chris offered him a total crawlspace encapsulation. To permanently seal off the space, CleanSpace Liner is installed along the walls and floor. The thick 20 mil material, similar to the thickness of a pool liner, provides a tear- and puncture-resistant membrane, completely sealing off the ground and moisture. CleanSpace Liner has a special antimicrobial additive in it to prevent mold growth, making it ideal in a damp environment. With a sealed-off crawlspace, Sam no longer has an issue with a muggy basement. 

Damp, cold crawlspaces can dramatically damage your home. The wooden floor joists absorb the moisture, causing the floor systems to weaken and rot, while cold, musty air rises into your home, leaving a bad odor and hazardous health conditions. A total crawlspace encapsulation with CleanSpace, allows for the ground to be permanently sealed off from the crawlspace, allowing for the floor systems to stay dry, and keep to cold, musty smells out of the home. CleanSpace is a thick liner, much like a pool liner, that provides durability against rips and tears, and is infused with an antimicrobial material that prevents mold growth.

Josh and Heather have an older home with a block foundation that constantly leaks through the walls. It was making it hard for them to use their basement a storage due to the damp and at times, wet, room. The reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have a waterproofing system installed. WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump were installed to collect and discharge the water out of the basement. To address the leaking walls, CleanSpace Liner was installed to help guide the leaking water to the WaterGuard. CleanSpace Liner also creates a moisture barrier for the basement, helping reducing the damp atmosphere and allow for the area to became a storage area for Josh and Heather.
