Norman S. discovered that his home's basement was collecting water after heavy rain showers. He did not want to have to worry about cleaning up a mess every time it stormed, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Jake S. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a Twin Pack sump pump and a Waterguard drainage system. Foreman Melvin F. then traveled to the home to get the job started.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. The Waterguard collects any water seeping up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. It then drains it to the sump pump.
Norman S. no longer has to worry about his home's basement flooding. He now has a dry and waterproof home.

Water leaks can create serious damage in the basement, so it was wise of this homeowner to reach out to Woods Basement Systems to find a waterproofing solution. The drains that were installed are called WaterGuard drains. These drains stop water leaks in their tracks and direct them towards the sump pump to be pumped back outside.
This St. Clair, Missouri basement had issues with water leaks during periods of rain. It would come out of cracks in the walls and pool on the floor, requiring constant cleanup. In order to fix this problem, a Woods Basement Systems team installed a WaterGuard drainage system. These gutter-like drains are placed underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water before it can make it into the space.
A homeowner wanted to replace the basement window with a larger one and include a window well. To accomplish this, an Egress Window was installed. This basement window is large enough to climb out of in case of an emergency. It will also allow more natural light to enter the basement. Next, a Rockwell Window Well was installed outside the Egress Window. The built-in steps of this system allow for an easy exit, and it features an airtight well cover that will keep water and debris out of the well. These systems will improve the safety of the basement and restore peace of mind for years to come!
