Leaky basements can mean hours of clean up and fan drying. Don O. of St. Louis, MO knew this all too well because his basement leaked every time it rained. He was fed up with the clean up so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free assessment. Woods recommended a basement waterproofing system to deal with the water problem.
Woods installed WaterGuard as part of the waterproofing system. WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement, as seen in the picture. It sits on top of the concrete footing of the home so it won’t become clogged with mud as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it away to the sump pump for removal.
Dianne G. of St. Louis, MO had a sump pump but there wasn’t a drainage system in place. Water leaked in through the wall and flood her basement which caused hours of clean up so she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing the WaterGuard drainage system to tie in to her existing sump pump.
Woods installed the WaterGuard under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement. Unlike other drainage systems that are installed along the concrete footing or on the exterior of the foundation, WaterGuard sits on top of the concrete footing. This keeps it away from any mud that might clog it while it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump for removal.
Mira C. of Bevo Mill, Missouri noticed that her home's basement was collecting water. She did not want to have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain shower, so she called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a TripleSafe sump pump and a Waterguard drainage system. Foreman Mason S. headed to the home to get the job started.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement. It accepts water from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. The Waterguard then drains the water to the sump pump.
Mira C. no longer has to worry about her home's basement flooding. She now has a waterproof and dry basement.
This South St. Louis basement was experiencing leaks during periods of heavy rain that would lead to quite a bit of water buildup. This made it difficult to make good use of the space. The homeowner called Woods Basement Systems, and a team installed WaterGuard drains underneath the floors as well as an UltraSump sump pump to remove any leaks from the home. The basement is now totally protected from water.
This South St. Louis home was plagued with leaks anytime it rained. In order to waterproof the space, a Woods Basement Systems team began by installing under-floor WaterGuard drains at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. After this, a CleanSpace vapor barrier was put in place over the walls to seal moisture out of the space and guide leaks down toward the WaterGuard drains. Finally, a TripleSafe sump system was installed to remove all water from the home.
