Mrs, Danielle who owns a house in Canton-De-Hatley, was annoyed from her dirty and moist crawl space. The cold air entering the crawl space was making its way up into her house.

In Pierrefonds, this homeowner faced a common yet troublesome issue - a damp crawlspace, which can be seen in the before photo displaying signs of moisture and possible damage risks. Fortunately, our team stepped in with a seamless solution. On the floor we installed CleanSpace drainage matting and TerraBlock since the temperature fluctuation was significant. And on the walls we installed SilverGlo thermal insulation. As noticed in the after photo, we transformed the previously damp and neglected crawlspace into a dry, energy-efficient, and healthy area under the home. A vented dirt crawl space is not a good thing. Damp exposed soils contribute to a lot of water vapor into the air and humid air fosters the proliferation of bacteria such as mold and allergens. Moreover, groundwater seeps and leaks rush from under the footing, between the footing and walls, right through block walls and through cracks in poured walls. Once inside, the water stays there slowly evaporating into the air. It is very difficult to completely dry damp earth but when it does dry a little, water vapors move upward into the house towards your bedrooms and living rooms.

To fix this problem, we completely encapsulated this crawlspace using our heavy duty CleanSpace drainage matting and CleanSpace liner and installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifying system. The Sedona eliminates damp, musty odors in your crawlspace by drying and filtering the air. It's a high performance and high-efficiency systems. You will save on electricity while keeping your space dry and healthy for many years to come.
