PROBLEM

Mr. Bruno's crawl space was uncovered and created humidity in the rest of the house. The client did not want this to affect his family's health in the long term.

 SOLUTION

 Systèmes Sous-sol Québec’s team suggested a solution that guaranteed a dry space all year round. A solution including 3 products; TerraBlock insulation, SmartDrain and CleanSpace encapsulation product.

Our TerraBlock insulation provides a puncture-resistant vapor barrier on all surfaces it covers - one that will not be damaged by water or support the growth of mold, rot, and mildew.

As for the SmartDrain, it is a floor drain installed at the lowest point of the crawl space to intercept water infiltration caused by plumbing leaks.

And finally the CleanSpace will prevent the growth of mold. In addition it is odorless and very safe to use.

In Tres-Saint-Redempteur, Quebec, a crawl space had rim joists that were rotting, resulting in sagging floor above, and creating a risk for the stability of the home. Using our SmartJack System, we stabilized the crawl space beams and floor joists.
