Ongoing water seepage had begun to take a toll on a homeowner in Asbury Park, NJ, creating a damp, uncomfortable basement environment and raising concerns about potential mold growth and wood rot. Wanting to protect their home and restore the space, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st for a permanent, professional solution. After conducting a full inspection, our team designed a customized waterproofing strategy tailored to the specific conditions of the basement.
We installed our WaterGuard Drainage System along the interior perimeter to intercept wall and floor seepage before it reached the living area. To address surface water near entry points, the TrenchDrain System was added, effectively capturing water at ground level. Both drainage systems were connected to our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three levels of pump protection, including a battery backup for power outages.
With this full system in place, the basement is now dry, protected, and usable, giving the homeowner confidence and renewed pride in their home!

Our System Design Specialist inspected the crawl space and recommended that an encapsulation system be installed to eliminate the dampness and provide an area for storage for the homeowners.
Drainage Matting was installed on the crawl space floors to give the water entering the crawl space a channel underneath and directs the water to the sump pump. CleanSpace vapor barrier system was installed on the crawl space floors and walls to make sure water vapor and humidity do not pass through. This liner is durable and will not tear making it perfect for protecting the crawl space and a usable storage area.
A homeowner in Neptune, New Jersey was having water come into their basement during heavy rains and contacted Quality 1st for a free estimate. Our System Design Specialist inspected the basement and noticed the signs of water and recommended that a new sump pump be installed. The homeowners current sump pump was old, outdated and not working. The TripleSafe sump pump was installed to make sure the basement stays dry. The TripleSafe has three levels of pumps built inside to make sure the water gets pumped out of the basement. In case of one pump failure, the next lower level pumps will kick in and keep the basement dry. The TripleSafe also has an UltraSump backup battery, set at the highest level will pump 11,500 gallons of water or more on a fully charged battery!
Jessica contacted Quality 1st Basements after noticing multiple signs of sagging floors. She had gaps between the floor and the interior wall from the floors sloping. Some of her doors and windows that use to operate succesfully were now sticking or wouldn't close. We sent System Design Specialist, Ken Peare out to inspect the crawl space and sit down with Jessica to discuss why her floors are sagging and the perfect solution to stable her crawl space beams!
Ken noticed signs that at one point water had gotten into her crawl space. The moisture from the water over time rotted the wood and deteriorated part of the floor joist. All of this caused her crawl space beams to sag creating uneven floors on the first level of her home. Ken recommended our SmartJack System, as the perfect solution to raise and stabilize the beams and the floor.
