This Hastings homeowner was concerned about her sinking concrete and the voids under the concrete. The concrete's unsealed control joints were allowing water to run under the concrete slavs causing voids and settling of concrete. We ended up lifting and stabilizing the concrete with PolyLevel, and sealed the joints with NexusPro. We also applied SealantPro to prevent pitting and staining.
Darrin M. in Burwell, NE, was frustrated with the settling of his front doorstep. After years of water infiltration in our Midwest climate, it’s common for steps like these to separate and begin to fail. Looking for a permanent solution, Darrin gave Thrasher a call to have one of our System Design Specialists come out and inspect the problematic area.
Brandon Headrick, our System Design Specialist, arrived at the home in Burwell, NE, and noticed that the front step had sunk and the sidewalk and walkway leading to the front door. The customer opted to have Thrasher install our 2-part concrete protection system to lift, level, and seal the sunken areas. Our PolyLevel foam was installed first to lift and level the sunken areas and then sealed with the NexusPro to prevent any water from infiltrating in the future.
Darrin was thrilled with his entire Thrasher experience and gave us a rewarding review! His concrete was in great shape, but the sunken areas created an eyesore and a potential tripping hazard. We were able to restore his peace of mind and install the permanent solution his concrete needed.
Greg knows he's going to move out of his home in the next few years, so he wants to do some home improvement projects to increase the home value. And he wants to start with the pool. The concrete around the pool was uneven and cracking. He chose Thrasher to repair the pool because we were reasonably priced and he liked that we were honest and upfront about the whole process.
AJ Lavoie visited Greg's home to inspect the pool deck. Upon inspection, AJ found the concrete around the pool had sunken due to the soil being poorly compacted during the building process, which is a typical occurrence with pools. Before we fixed this, we let Greg know that pools are notoriously tricky to lift and level, but if anyone can do it, it's us. We started by lifting the sunken deck slabs with PolyLevel and then applied NexusPro joint sealant to ensure moisture can not enter through the open control joints and cracks.
The final result looked great and we were able to lift the sunken slabs where they were originally. Greg was ecstatic and thought the result was better than he could have ever imagined!
This homeowner noticed some voids in the driveway after bouncing a basketball. After further inspection, they also found some cracks in the corner of the garage and the walkways. System Design Specialist Sheldon Sharp went out to their home and recommended using Nexus Pro Joint and Crack Sealant to fill the voids in the driveway, the walkway, and the garage. There was no longer a tripping hazard and the homeowner was thrilled the garage was filled and had peace of mind it wouldn't crack anymore.
These homeowners were worried that someone will trip and fall because their front porch stairs were broken and had sunk. They also frequently have friends over so they feel like it is an eyesore and an embarrassment. This is their forever home, so they want to enjoy coming home and utilizing the space their front porch provides.
We assessed that the soil under the concrete was voided and with the weight of the stairs, it cracked the slab at the bottom of the last step. The two slabs leading up to the stairs had also fallen and it was only a matter of time before the rest of the slabs experienced the same fate. To restore the curb appeal of the concrete we started by using a jack to prop up the stairs and inject PolyLevel foam under them to stabilize the area. We then lifted and stabilized the other two slabs that had fallen. All control joints were cleaned and caulked with NexusPro. Now this couple can feel good about having friends come over!
