This homeowner noticed that one of his foundation walls was caving in. He was concerned that this wall would cause many problems in the future, so he decided to give us a call. We sent System Design Specialist Todd King to inspect the wall and determine what was causing it to cave inwards as well as how we could help to fix this problem. When Todd arrives at this house, he saw that the wall was experiencing wall failure as pressure form the soil surrounding the foundation had caused this wall to bow inwards over time. Todd discussed this with the homeowner and determined that an EverBrace System would help to lock in and secure this wall for many years to come. Our installation team came out and installed just that, leaving the homeowner happy that his old farmhouse that was 3 generations of history for his family could continue to stand strong. This homeowner was struggling with his steps as they were tied into his foundation, yet they had started to settle and pull away from his house. He was unsure of what to do in order to fix this problem, so he called us.
We sent System Design Specialist Elliot Moles to inspect the steps and figure out what happened to the homeowner's steps. Elliot found that the steps settled due to soil erosion, however because they were tied into the foundation, this put an extra stress on the foundation that compromised the safety of the home. After talking to the homeowner about options to fix this, the homeowner decided to lift his stairs with us. Our team used Helical Piers to lift the stairs back to their original position and to secure the foundation.
The homeowner was happy with the project when it was complete. Check out his lifted stairs!
