These homeowners in Saco, Maine were dealing with a damp crawl space. They contacted TC Hafford who arrived to help them with their issue. Our System Design Specialist determined that a complete encapsulation would greatly reduce the moisture in the crawl space, and the homeowners agreed.

To address the sagging floors, SmartJacks were installed with a Steel Supplemental Beam. SmartJacks replaced the current supports, as seen in the photos. The homeowner opted to encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace and Spray Foam. With the system installed, outside elements are kept out, and the crawl space can be used for storage without the fear of moisture causing any damage. Groundwater will be removed by the installed SmartSump and taken out of the crawl space through a buried discharge line. To round out the system, the homeowner also decided to purchase a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep humidity at a safe level, meaning they will have peace of mind moving forward, knowing that their crawl space is protected and the structural integrity of their home is intact.
