Every time it rained, water would come into this Waterville, ME, basement and leave a mess on the floor. After putting a tarp down to try and contain the mess, the homeowner knew they needed a permanent solution to their basement problems. The homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems, and System Design Specialist Ken Castillo met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a system that was right for them.
The homeowner opted to install a new Slab with WaterGuard. Before the new slab was poured, the area was cleaned out, and Drainage Matting was laid down to create an inorganic barrier between the outside elements and protect the new slab. WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the basement where needed to collect and channel water. The water needs to go somewhere, so the WaterGuard was connected to a new SuperSump Plus, which takes the water and pumps it out of the basement through a Exterior Buried Discharge line. The Discharge line takes the water far from the home and is protected from ice buildup with the installation of IceGuard. After the area was done being prepped, the new slab was ready to be poured, and the homeowner now has a wonderful basement that is safe to use, and the tarp can now be kept in the garage.
Having to contend with moisture accumulating in their basement using nothing but fans, this homeowner living in Windsor, ME needed a better way to keep the water at bay. After talking with our staff at TC Hafford Basement Systems and receiving their free estimate, this homeowner was ready to have us solve their wet basement problem with a new sump. Shortly after clearing a space and excavating a fresh sump, a SuperSump pump was installed in the floor of the basement. The SuperSump device is capable of removing water from the home at a rate of over 2,600 gallons of water per hour. This water flows out of the home through a PVC discharge line. On the exterior of the home, an IceGuard pipe segment as well as a LawnScape discharge port were attached to the discharge line. The IceGuard will protect against ice forming in the line while the LawnScape port provides a grate over the end of the line to keep debris from entering and causing blockages.
With a proper sump pump now installed in their basement floor, this homeowner can spend less time trying to keep their floor dry and more time relaxing. The SuperSump pump will keep this basement water-free for years to come!
After living with a damp basement for years, this homeowner thought it was time they had something done about it. They had us at TC Hafford Basement Systems take a look and we got to work waterproofing the space right away! We began by burying a WaterGuard piping system below the floor to absorb and guide incoming water to the sump. A SuperSump pump then takes the water and forces it out of the home through the discharge line. Finally, a CleanSpace Wall Liner was used to cover the walls of the basement, brightening up the space and proving an extra layer against moisture build up on the walls.
When it rains, it puddles, but unfortunately, it puddles in this South China, ME homeowner’s basement as well as their driveway. Looking to keep the rain outside, the homeowner called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate to see what we could do about their water problems. System Design Specialist Adam Hamm drove out to meet the homeowner and work with them to design a waterproofing system that would solve their troubles.
Needing to handle ground and rainwater, WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter of the slab to channel the water. The water needs a place to go, so a TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed at the lowest point and connected to the WaterGuard to pump the water out of the basement and through a Buried Discharge Line. The Buried Discharge Line takes the water far from the home where it can’t cause any trouble, and to prevent ice buildup from hindering the system during the winter months, IceGuard was installed. To finish up the system, the old sump hole was filled in and capped, and now the homeowner no longer has to deal with water in their basement.
After years of flooding issues in their basement and water reaching as high as three inches, this Jefferson, ME, homeowner was tired of the issues. Mold could be found on items, which caused the basement to be unusable. Looking to regain control of their basement and use it for storage, the homeowner booked a free estimate with TC Hafford Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Kathryn Dolan met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a basement waterproofing system that would keep the basement dry all the time.
The homeowner needed protection through the whole basement, so WaterGuard was installed around the perimeter to catch and channel water. WaterGuard is installed under the slab to catch ground water and any water that may seep in from the foundation. TrenchDrain was installed in high-traffic areas and doorways to catch any water that may find its way in when coming in from outside. TrenchDrain connects to the WaterGuard where the water is channeled to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump. The TripleSafe is capable of taking the water and pumping it out of the home through a Buried Discharge Line. The Discharge line takes the water far away from the house, and to prevent ice buildup during the cold Maine winters, IceGuard was installed. This keeps the waterproofing system functioning year-round, ensuring the basement is always dry. Finally, CleanSpace Wall System was installed where necessary and tied into the WaterGuard. Now the homeowner is free to use their basement as they originally intended, and water and mold are a thing of the past.
