This customer had a problem with bowing walls in her basement, and her dehumidifier was not working properly. The customer chose our services because she had a positive experience with our previous products installed in her basement. She had seen the benefits of our solutions firsthand and trusted us to resolve the current issue. We decided to install a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier, which was a great replacement for her previous Sanidry XP unit. As the customer continues her home improvement journey, she can have peace of mind knowing that her basement is equipped with a high-quality dehumidifier that offers the benefits she has come to appreciate from our products.
With any type of waterproofing, the sump pump is the heart of the system. The contractor grade of sump pumps/pit can withhold the longevity of the home. Midwest Foundation Repair replaced the pit with an Ultra Sump Pump and added a SaniDry to help with humidity during the wet season. Make sure to service your sump pump annually with our Midwest Care Club. Call our office to set up your Annual Maintenance.
This customer wanted to stop the settlement of her home in order to maintain its value. The front corner of the home was settling and falling away from the house. This was causing the entire wall to rotate out. To fix this, we used push piers to support the foundation. To be sure this solution would be permanent, we drove our piers to bedrock or load-bearing soil and double-tested them that day.
This homeowner noticed her concrete sidewalk had cracked and settled. This caused an uneven sidewalk and a trip hazard leading up to her door and mailbox. She was very concerned about her or someone else tripping and getting hurt. It was first priority on her list of things to get done. We used polylevel foam to raise the sidewalk and make it an even walking surface. We then sealed the cracks and control joints with nexus pro to further protect the concrete.
A collapsing retaining wall that sits beneath a driveway that supports a bridge to the homes garage was in need of replacement.
Street creep had pushed against the wall to the point of its collapse. Midwest Foundation Repair replaced the wall with a new poured wall supported by stable fill to keep the pressure conditions consistent.
We also placed helical tiebacks on two other retaining walls.
