A basement in Saint Peters, MO, was getting humid and wet during heavy rain. This needed to be addressed, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, CleanSpace™ was used to encapsulate the basement walls. This highly durable liner will keep out outside elements, such as humidity and rot. Next, WaterGuard™ was installed to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits on top of the soil to prevent clogging from occurring.  Finally, a sump pump was installed to discharge the collected water out of the basement. This sump pump has a battery back-up generator to ensure the pump keeps working, even during a power outage. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry for years to come! 

Homeowners Mike and Carol C. of Harviell, Illinois were dealing with some problems in their basement. Their foundation had settled, causing a water leak. With the basement damp from rainwater, the homeowners were unable to use the space for storage or living space. Frustrated that they could not use part of their home, they made a call to Woods Basement Systems. To solve the foundation issue, foreman Jesse C. installed our PowerBrace System. PowerBrace is an i-beam system to keep the basement walls straight and stable. Finally, to waterproof the space he installed UltraSump, IceGuard, TripleSafe, CleanSpace and WaterGuard. Now that these products are installed, Mike and Carol can sleep well knowing their basement is dry and safe.

Jolene B.’s basement in her De Soto, MO home had numerous leaks. Her foundation walls were cracked which allowed an alarming amount of water to get in and damage the wood frames and finished flooring so she called Woods Basement Systems. Along with a wall support system, Woods recommended installing a waterproofing system.

The Twin Pack was installed as part of that system. The Twin Pack contains two powerful cast-iron pumps within its airtight sealed sump liner. The pumps eject water out and away from the basement through its discharge lines and protect the basement, even when weather is severe.

Any weaknesses in the foundation, like cracks or the joint between the foundation walls and floors, can allow a large amount water to get into the basement. The foundations walls in Jolene B.’s De Soto, MO home were cracked, causing numerous leaks in her basement so she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing both a wall support system and waterproofing system.

As part of that waterproofing system, Woods installed the WaterGuard drainage system under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement, as seen in the picture. WaterGuard sits on top of the concrete footing of the home to keep it mud-free as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it to the sump pump for removal.

Water was entering a garage in De Soto, MO, causing damage. To solve this issue, the TrenchDrain System was installed. This surface drainage system will catch the water that leaks through the door before it can enter the garage. The WaterGuard System will also help carry this water, as well as any that leaks down the walls and guide it toward the sump pump to be pumped out of the house. Thanks to these systems, this garage will remain dry and clean for years to come!
