Problem
Our client Alexandre, living in Magog, called us as he was experiencing some issues with his sump pump. In fact, he noticed that it was inadequate, given the amount of water that consistently filled the sump pit, sometimes even causing water to escape and damage the basement floor. Our specialist Dan went on-site for a detailed inspection. After confirming Alexandre's observations, he emphasized that action should be taken as soon as possible to avoid additional damage, that could even reach the house's foundation.
Solution
The optimal solution was to install our TripleSafe sump pump system to ensure basement safety. This system includes two highly efficient Zoeller pumps, with a third backup pump that operates on battery power. This allows the pump to continue working even in the event of an unexpected power outage. Moreover, the AlarmWatch system will provide advance warning to prevent any potential disasters.
With TripleSafe, Alexandre no longer has any concerns about problems in his basement.
Problem
Our client living in Saint-Remi-De-Tingwick was dissatisfied with the performance of his current sump pump. Indeed, water had repeatedly filled the sump pit before the pump could evacuate it. Our specialist, Nickolas, went to conduct a thorough inspection. The pump didn't stop working, which could cause its wear and tear in the near future, leading to other more serious structural damages.
Solution
Our team of workers, managed by Colin, proceeded to replace the sump pump with the SuperSump: It includes a Zoeller sump pump capable of pumping approximately 8,300 liters of water per hour out of the basement at a height of 8 feet. Furthermore, this system is equipped with a backup pump; an added UltraSump battery pump allowing the drainage system to operate in case of a power outage. The battery backup system will recharge automatically. Then, we installed the discharge pipe, allowing the water to be directed outside and away from the house.
Facing water infiltration and excess humidity within a basement in Saint-Paul-De-L'ile-Aux-Noix, Quebec, we put in place our patented WaterGuard internal drainage, which will perfectly channel all the infiltrated water outside and far from the house's foundation. In addition, and to regulate the humidity levels, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls. Same will also channel the infiltrated water from the walls directly to the drainage system and will not allow it to evaporate, thus reducing the humidity.
Client was satisfied with the outcome, as he will be soon finishing the basement with peace of mind.
Our clients in Gatineau were suffering from water infiltration problems in their home's basement which caused humidity in the area and has also lead to severe coldness in the basement that has reached the whole house as well.
As you can see in the first picture, the water has penetrated the floors and structural paint damages have occurred on the walls.
Furthermore, our professionals have installed a WaterGuard system, our SuperSump sump pump, as well as our SaniDry and IceGuard systems and finished it with the EverLast wall restoration systems.
Our clients are now very happy since they did not face any humidity problems again and can enjoy their new warm, dry and beautiful basement.
The problem
Mr. Sirois noticed a high humidity in the house, cold air on the main floor coming from the floor and some places of the hardwood floor on the main floor was no longer at level. The cause was the humidity in the crawl space. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec to add a good vapor barrier membrane, clean the crawl space to improve air quality and reduce the humidity.
The solution
Adding a SmartSump sump pump system, a drainage membrane and CleanSpace vapor barrier. Most of the moisture in the crawl space comes from the earthen floor that contains water and it can come also from the walls. The SmartSump will therefore be able to remove water from the ground outside and away from the foundation. The drainage membrane, on the other hand, is placed on the ground and makes it possible to drain the water that is on the surface towards the sump pump system. The CleanSpace coating which acts as a vapor barrier is placed over the drainage membrane and blocks moisture from the ground.
