Our client’s old sump pump in Charlemagne, Qc couldn’t keep up during times of heavy rainfall. The pit also needed to be fixed since it was open and not healthy.
So we replaced this pedestal pump by one of our best sump pumps in the market, the’ SuperSump’ pump that could pump a large amount of water during the worst periods and we offered this home owner a dry basement permanently.
The problem
Mr. Yang had a sump pump system that was not working very well and was unreliable because it often stoped. On top of that, his pump system stops working during power outages and he does not have a "back up" pump. This worried him, because 2 years ago, he experienced a flood in his basement. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec for a free estimate to install a reliable and efficient sump pump system in order to prevent another flood.
The solution
Replacing our customer's sump pump system that no longer worked well for our TripleSafe system. This is our most efficient solution, because this system includes 3 pumps; a Zoeller 1/3 HP cast iron main pump, a second Zoeller 1/2 HP pump which engages if the quantity of water to be evacuated becomes important and then a third UltraSump battery backup pump which activates during power outages. In addition to this, a WaterWatch alarm sounds to alert you when the water level exceeds the limit where the pump should have been running. An external discharge line to evacuate water away from the house has been installed. It includes our IceGuard emergency water drainage system which allows water to be drained in the event of freezing or blocked discharge line. This prevents water from backing up into the basement.
With the TripleSafe system, Mr. Yang will have the peace of mind, because in case of a power failure or not, he has a reliable and efficient system.
Our client, Lee, had water infiltration during every season in his basement. Having done the finishing of the entire place, he would run the risk of developing mold.
To solve the problem, we installed an ElitePlank floor that resists mold. At the same time, an interior drainage system evacuates water that may infiltrate during periods of rain and thaw.
Thanks to our solutions, our client benefits from a basement protected against water infiltration and mold.
This house in Greenfield Park had water infiltration problems coming through the walls of the basement. To solve this issue, we have installed a WaterGuard interior drain, a SuperSump pump, a SaniDry Upright and B to B insulation walls.
This basement in Greenfield Park suffered a lot from water infiltration and needed our company’s intervention to waterproof the place!
We installed our interior drainage system’ the WaterGuard’ at the foot of the foundation, at the joint between the wall and the footing so that the water that infiltrates through the slab, the wall and the joint is intercepted by the drain then evacuated by the sump pumps.
Then we connected the WaterGuard to the SuperSump sump pump system in order to evacuate the water that infiltrates through the ground.
