This house in Les Coteaux was in a very bad state.

Water was coming into the basement during each thaw season, which was deteriorating the place and causing too much moisture in the area.

After finding our company, Mr. Frank called us and asked for our free inspection.

We waterproofed the entire place by installing our TripleSafe sump pump to pump all the water out, 2 IceGuard accessories to prevent water freezing and a LawnScape discharge line outlet.

Our client Mr. Frank wanted to keep his entire basement dry. His basement had been finished and he wanted to protect it.

SOLUTION

Our customer chose the product known as the TripleSafe pump which included; 3 pumps (2 electric, 1 battery), 2 alarms and 1 drain. This product guarantees a dry basement, even in the case of water infiltration. Ideal for a client who has had one or more water infiltrations in the past, a client in an area prone to flooding or a client who wants to renovate or complete his basement and who wants to protect his investment. It is strongly suggested that you install a TripleSafe prior to basement renovations.

This pump will typically include one or more IceGuards. The IceGuard helps prevent the water which the pump sends outside the house from freezing. If this discharge is prevented by frozen water, it will return to the pump and break it, thus making it useless. This water will therefore go to your basement.

A Lawnscape is also often used at this water outlet to prevent soil erosion, damage surrounding landscaping and prevent entry of insects. Each of these elements has been specifically created to collect the large amounts of rain during our Quebec springs.

This pedestal pump in Coteau-Du-Lac was getting clogged most of the times, which was preventing the pump from extracting water from the sump pit or sump liner.

Our customer then opted for our SuperSump pump system that has a  CleanPump stand; this patented stand elevates the sump pump intake port to help prevent clogging, which is a common cause of pump burnout.

When the wall begins to tilt in the middle, but have not yet begun to slide inward at the base or tilt inward at the top, Carbon Fiber strips are the best solutions.

This was our client’s problem that lives in Morin-Heights.

When the tapes are installed, the resistance that the carbon fiber tapes exert makes it possible to prevent the wall from flexing again.

This client contacted us the first time in 2013 to request a bid to waterproof his basement which was suffering from water infiltration. Having decided that he was in no hurry to carry out the work, he dropped the project but contacted us again in 2019 to resume the project, as the problems worsened.

Our team installed a WaterGuard interior drain perimeter that intercepts water that seeps into the foundation, floor, and walls. This internal drain is connected to a sump pump system to evacuate water away from home.

Once the drain was installed around the foundation, our team covered the walls with the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane that blocks the water vapor so that it does not wick the space. This membrane also redirects the infiltrations of water if there are some towards the drain. The vapor barrier prevents mold and bloom from appearing and proliferating.
