Our recommendation was to first address the moisture concerns that caused threat to the wooden beams in the crawl space. The high levels of moistures and humidity caused the wooden beams to soften and sag. The horizontal crack in this Lincroft, NJ basement only got worse over time as most foundations problem do. Quality 1st Basement Systems inspected the basement and noticed that the crack spanned almost the entire width of the basement! Wall Anchors were used to repair this foundation crack. Wall anchors are embedded in the soil away from the foundation wall because that soil has not been compromised like the backfill soil around the home. This wall has now been stabilized and will return back to its original position as the Wall Anchors are tightened.

This home was experiencing horizontal cracks and some shifting of the concrete block foundation walls. Design Specialist, Ken Peare, suggested CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System. Foreman Juan Garcia and his crew installed the flexible carbon fiber straps with little disruption to the wall, yet providing stabilization without the need for exterior excavation.

A homeowner in Washington, NJ noticed their basement walls were bowing inwards, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems. Our System Design Specialist, Jay A., fully inspected the basement walls. A few days later, our crew arrived at the home and installed the Carbon Armor Reinforcement System, which is designed to stabilize bowing walls. Since the repair, the homeowner has not experienced any issues in their basement.
