Customer had a finished basement with minimal natural light and asked that we come out to install an Egress Window for them. An Egress window is a large opening that is large enough to escape out of in case of emergencies and is also a way to allow in a lot of natural lighting.
We first had to do a dig-out and cut through the poured foundation. Once we had the opening for the window, we then installed a 27 x 45 In-Swing Egress with an Egress well, ladder, metal grate, and cover.
This homeowner wanted to make the original basement window into something bigger and have an easier, safer way to exit the home. We removed the old window and installed our Egress Window Well, which is a one-piece unit of high-quality plastic that is reinforced for stability and longevity. Lastly, we finished the basement with our EverLast Wall Restoration, which is an inorganic base molding that will not be damaged by water and is designed to withstand mold or mildew.

Now this bright, clean and dry crawlspace can be used for storage again and the homeowner can be worry free of any damages that may have been caused by water and mold.
