Homeowner living in the beautiful area of Livingston, NJ discovered water in their crawl space, coming up through the floor and seeping through the walls. Upon this discovery, they also noticed a lot of moisture from the amount of water they had received. Luckily, they had recently received the Direct Advantage Magazine in the mail which had a Quality 1st Basement Systems ad along with a crawl space coupon inside. Quality 1st Basement Systems got the call and schedule a free estimate appointment.
The System Design Specialist, did a full inspection and suggested a SuperSump Pump System along with a Sedona Dehumidifier. Both systems work together to create a dry and healthy environment in the crawl space. The SuperSump pump has a built-in alarm system that will alert the homeowner right away if it detects any water. The Sedona, although is small to fit inside a crawl space, has the capabilities to blow effectively in large spaces.
The homeowner was relieved to know that they no longer have to worry about water or moisture in their crawl space thanks to Quality 1st Basement Systems.
A Livingston, NJ, homeowner was interested in encapsulating their crawl space, so they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to learn more about their options for a permanent solution. We sent a System Design Specialist, Mike, to perform a full inspection. Mike noticed a musty smell almost immediately entering the crawl space. There were water marks along the foundation walls and efflorescence as well. Early signs of mold growth also stood out to Mike, telling him that this moisture problem had been happening for some time. Mike recommended our CleanSpace Moisture Vapor Barrier as a solution, which prevents water vapor and humidity from passing through the dirt floor and walls. It prevents moisture, which causes mold and efflorescence.
This Short Hills basement had a water seepage problem and some signs of past mold growth. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace basement liner. CleanSpace will keep the basement safe with lower humidity. By creating a barrier that keeps water vapor out of the basement, CleanSpace will keep mold from growing. Now this basement is healthy and dry.
Quality 1st received a call from a concerned homeowner who was experiencing moisture, humidity and water inside their crawl space. The Vapor Barrier System prevents water vapor from coming in through the walls and floors. Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to provide a permanent solution for keeping the crawl space clean and dry.
Homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems about replacing the screen to the opening of the crawl space with a sealed door to prevent cold air and humidity from getting inside the crawl space. When the appointment was set, we sent out our Crawl Space Encapsulation booklet to the homeowner to help generate any other questions or concerns the new homeowner would have. By the time of the appointment, the homeowner wanted to get as much information as possible about encapsulation.
System Design Specialist, Ken Peare explained that the encapsulation of a crawl space is something that every homeowner should do because of the benefits. Encapsulation is when we stop moisture from passing through the walls and floor of the crawl space by installing a CleanSpace liner. This durable, bright white liner is mold and moisture resistant and waterproof to seal the crawl space off from unwanted cold drafts, humidity, dirt and pests that try to get inside.
Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to transform this crawl space making it healthier for the new homeowners living inside.
