This homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems in regards to their cold drafty crawl space that was making the floors on the first level of the home extremely cold. The crawl space had no insulation and water marks along the walls which brought great concern to the homeowner. Quality 1st installed SilverGlo, a heat barrier, to the walls and floors to keep the area and the floors above, warm. Next, a SmartSump pump was installed to keep the basement dry and then a Vapor Barrier liner called CleanSpace over the SilverGlo to seal the crawl space off from water, pests,and moisture while creating a new storage area for the family.

Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier. CleanSpace stops moisture from entering the crawl space. Humid crawl spaces can grow mold and mildew, and the wet air can seep to the rest of the house. To replace the wet fiberglass, SilverGlo insulation was installed. SilverGlo insulates better than fiberglass, and is much cleaner. Fiberglass can grow mold, is not waterproof, and does not insulate cold at the source.
