In a residence with a finished basement, water leaks can infiltrate and compromise the integrity of the living space in various ways. For this property in Berlin, NJ, water intrusion was becoming trapped beneath the vinyl flooring, resulting in damage to the basement area. The homeowner sought to safeguard their property and prevent further exposure to harmful water conditions. Our team conducted an assessment of the basement and implemented a solution that addressed the homeowner's concerns. We replaced the existing flooring with our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring. Constructed from inorganic materials, these planks replicate the appearance of real hardwood flooring while eliminating the risks of rot and water entrapment. The old windows leaked and brought humidity and cold drafts into the basement. These new windows sealed the basement preventing water and unwanted drafts in side. Now that the windows were done, the homeowners can now get ready to finish their Basement!
