This crawl space was damp and water would seep in through the block walls and down to the dirt floor. We came out and installed a Cleanspace Vapor barrier, Drainage Matting, Silver Glo insulation and a SaniDry CX Dehumidifier.
The basement in this home was going to be used as a daycare but before they could go forward with those plans, there needed to be a safe exit plan in play, in case exiting up the stairs, was not an option.
Currently there were 2 small, side by side, above grade windows and we needed to turn one into an Egress. This job ended up being a custom install of a 36x40 Egress Window.
Now with this install the customer can run his childcare program knowing the kids have a quick and safe exit in case of any emergencies.
At this Pasadena home, the crawl space was getting filled with water during rainfall. We sent a team out to install our crawl space encapsulation system with a Drainage Matting that lies under the CleanSpace liner. The durable liner is a 20mil thick, 7 layer polyethylene composition that is reinforced with polyester cord. This system will help seal out cold drafts and it helps reduce moisture in the air, keeping the humidity low.
We were called regarding high moisture in this dirt crawl space, and the homeowners wanted to look into sealing it at some point. Our team removed, hauled and of all the old damp insulation from the crawl space to make room for the liner. We installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation system to address the crawl space problems and to cut down on the vapor that seeps in through the dirt floor. Lastly, we surrounded the perimeter walls with our SilverGlo insulated wall panels to keep a dry and energy crawl space.
In Pasadena, MD, a homeowner began noticing signs of foundation settlement in their basement, such as visible cracks in the walls and floors that were becoming uneven. The likely cause of the issue was prolonged water seepage due to an aging and underperforming sump pump that had failed to effectively manage groundwater around the foundation. As a result, water infiltration over time had created pressure on the basement walls and contributed to the settling of the foundation. Concerned about the potential for further damage, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st, seeking a professional and comprehensive solution to restore the stability and integrity of their home.
Our team responded by installing a series of advanced systems designed to tackle both the water intrusion and foundation issues. We began with the installation of our WaterGuard Drainage System, which was designed to redirect groundwater away from the foundation, preventing any further seepage. Next, we upgraded the existing sump pump to our powerful SuperSump Premier Sump Pump, ensuring efficient water removal. To address the moisture issues and improve the overall appearance of the basement, we installed CleanSpace Wall Panels, which act as a vapor barrier and prevent moisture from passing through the walls. Finally, to stabilize the bowing foundation walls, we used our CarbonArmor Reinforcing System, which uses high-strength carbon fiber straps to provide permanent wall stabilization.
With all these systems in place, we successfully restored the basement to a dry, healthy, and structurally sound condition, giving the homeowner peace of mind and lasting protection against future water and foundation problems.
