A homeowner in Brooklyn, New York was looking to install a sump pump in their basement. They reported having moisture coming in through the walls as well. Water and moisture can get into the basement because of loose and poorly compacted soil surrounding the foundation. The sump pump also has an airtight enclosed lid to keep moisture out of the basement. The foreman also installed the WaterGuard Drain System which sits on top of the footing instead of alongside it. This is vital because it keeps the wet dirt from getting into the drain because the drain doesn't sit in the mud. WaterGuard will catch any water and drain it to the sump pump system.
