This finished basement in a Union, NJ home was experiencing persistent water intrusion that occurred with heavy rains. The homeowner, understanding the risk of water damage threatening their home, decided to call in our team at Quality 1st to help protect their basement. We assessed the space and determined that the existing sump pump was not keeping up with the volumes of water the basement was being flooded with. We decided to upgrade the waterproofing system with our TripleSafe Sump Pump, providing the space with three levels of protection from three pumps. This, combined with our powerful Sedona Dehumidifier, guarantees the basement a dry and healthy environment protected from water damage.
When this homeowner was considering his basement remodeling, he knew that his sump pump needed attention first. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a new sump pump and provided him options for finishing his basement walls. EverLast wall panels were installed which are completely waterproof, will never grow mold, and finish this basment with a clean, fresh look!
Greg Louis, Basement Design Specialist, proposed installation of the ultra-efficient Sedona Air System to remove moisture from the air and blow out a dry air into the space. This system was designed to keep the humidity levels below 50%, reducing the chance for mold to grow. Additionally, a TripleSafe sump pump was proposed for installation as it includes an efficient primary pump, a back-up pump (in case the first one fails or if there is a need for extra pumping power), and a third battery-operated pump (designed to kick in if the power goes out). The peeling, flaky basement walls were covered over by SilverGlo walling to provide insulation and a cleaner finish. Foreman Mario Barron and his crew installed the products...and peace of mind for the customer!
