This owner was about to sell the home and was in need of a waterproofing system in the crawl space. To prevent any crawl space leaks, we installed our SmartSump pump system with liner, CleanPump stand and an airtight lid. Our SmartSump is designed for crawl spaces, which collects water from evaporating into the space and has a built-in alarm to prevent any type of plumbing problem.

Recurring basement flooding and multiple horizontal and vertical foundation cracks had this Wilmington, DE homeowner concerned about both water intrusion and structural stability. Our team, led by Foreman Bernie, installed WaterGuard around the full perimeter, CleanSpace along the foundation walls, five CarbonArmor straps, a new SuperSump, and a SaniDry Sedona. Together, these systems provide a more comprehensive approach to the basement's drainage, structural, and moisture concerns.

Heavy rain was causing water to seep through the basement walls of this Wilmington, DE home, while existing French drains and a sump pump struggled to keep up. Foreman Bernie and our team installed full-perimeter WaterGuard and CleanSpace, reinforced the problem area with five CarbonArmor straps, replaced the sump with a SuperSump, and added a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. The finished system gives the basement dedicated solutions for drainage, structural reinforcement, water removal, and humidity control.

This customer had lived in her 80-year-old home for 20 years. Her basement periodically got wet during heavy rains, but during one particularly bad storm, so much water poured in that after a short time, it was high enough to cover her ankles. Our inspector went out and found that only one wall was leaking, so the installation of 20 feet of WaterGuard was enough to keep the water from coming in. This basement had no sump pump, so we needed to install one. Not wanting to ever experience another flooded basement, our customer had us install a TripleSafe Sump System with battery backup. As the name implies, the Triple Safe has three pumps. Pump 1 does the majority of the pumping. Pump 2 kicks in if Pump 1 is unable to keep up during a severe storm, and Pump 3 is the UltraSump Battery Back-up system. If you lose power, the UltraSump’s 120 amp power pack, when fully charged, can pump a total of 12,000 gallons of water, at 2,018 gallons per hour. Barring a severe storm that leaves you without power for more than a few days, the UltraSump should get you through until power is restored and the battery can begin to charge again.

This tall crawl space in Wilmington, DE had lots of problems. First, there was a lot of dampness evaporating up from the floor and from the walls. This needed to be resolved by the installation of the CleanSpace vapor barrier. Second, the moisture had caused one of the joists to start rotting and deteriorating. Attempts had been made in the past to fix this, but they were insufficient.  We repaired it properly using a galvanized steel I-beam with SmartJacks to properly support the joists. SmartJack comes with a 25-year, transferable, nationally back, warranty.

There was also a major problem with the insulation. It had sucked up the moisture from the air and become heavy, which caused it to sag and fall. There was a lot of mold due to the fact that fiberglass insulation contains organic materials. The solution was to take it down and haul it away and replace it with SilverGlo around the perimeter. As you can see, the job turned out great and the customers were very happy.
