A homeowner in North Brunswick, New Jersey was noticing their pool patio was starting to sink and settle. The reason this happens is because concrete is poured over backfilled soil around the home. Overtime, this loose soil settles and creates a void under the concrete. Another common issue is when water runs down through the cracks, it washes the soil out as it passes through. These voids cause the concrete so shift and settle. The homeowner called Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Jeff Pitek, was able to help them. He suggested a polyurethane foam to lift the concrete and our foreman installed the PolyLevel System into the concrete. This is done by drilling small, penny-sized holes into the slab and the polymer is injected into the voids. The PolyLevel has expanding properties that allow for lifting and leveling of the slab. Now, the homeowner knows the cause of the settlement and does not have to worry about it anymore.

This homeowner from North Brunswick, NJ needed help preparing their pool deck for summer. One of the concrete slabs was sinking and creating an unsafe tripping hazard. The strong solution was injected underneath the fallen slab to raise it to its original position. The homeowner can now relax, knowing their pool deck is safe for them and their family.

A firehouse in Chatham Township, New Jersey had a slab in front of the driveway that was sinking and settling and contacted Quality 1st for a solution. Our System Design Specialist inspected the settling slab and had PolyLevel installed. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected into the concrete through penny-size holes and begins to raise the concrete within minutes. PolyLevel can be installed quickly and is a permanent solution to raising concrete. 

A homeowner from New Egypt, NJ noticed that the concrete around their pool had sunk and shifted, creating an uneven surface and a serious trip hazard. Not only was it unsafe for family and guests, but it also took away from the pool’s overall appearance. To fix the problem, the crew used PolyLevel, a quick-inject polyurethane foam that lifts and levels concrete with precision. Within hours, the slabs were stabilized, leveled, and ready for use, without the mess or expense of replacing the concrete. Now, the poolside area is safe, smooth, and looks as good as new.

Check out this PolyLevel project we completed in Linwood, NJ! The concrete area surrounding the pool was experiencing three and a half inches of settlement. By injecting polyurethane formula beneath the concrete slabs, our team was able to fill the voids and lifting and leveling the slab back to its original position.  Additionally, our team applied a joint sealant to keep water from weakening the soil beneath the concrete.
