Concrete in a Belle Mead backyard was causing trip hazards for this Belle Mead family. With use of the PolyLEVEL system, the concrete slabs were raised causing minimal disruption to this family's yard while evening out the patio area. In contrast to mudjacking, PolyLEVEL does not leave large, unsightly holes in the concrete.
Concrete will settle over time if the soil underneath is not strong enough to hold its weight. If to wet or dry, the soil underneath a slab will become weak causing the concrete to sink and settle. Our Concrete Repair Specialist, Jeff P. recommended Polyurethane Foam, known as PolyLevel to be injected underneath the slab to provide it the additional support it needs to be stabilized and prevent future sinking and settling.

They wanted a solution without the headache of removing and replacing the concrete so the Township called Quality 1st! Disheveled concrete around a backyard pool had become a growing concern for a Princeton, NJ homeowner, creating safety risks for family and guests and diminishing the overall appearance of their outdoor space. The homeowner reached out to Quality 1st after noticing the slabs were continuing to sink and crack, unsure of how to address the problem without a full replacement. After a detailed inspection, our System Design Specialist discovered that soil erosion and empty voids beneath the concrete were causing the slabs to shift and settle over time.
To correct the issue, the crew used our patented PolyLevel Foam Injection repair method, a fast, non-invasive approach designed to lift and stabilize sunken concrete with precision. Small holes were drilled into the affected slabs, and high-density foam was injected underneath, expanding to fill gaps and raise the concrete back to its original level. The process was completed with minimal disruption, and the results were immediate.
The homeowner was left with a safe, smooth, and fully restored pool deck that not only looked better but was also built to last for many more seasons of outdoor enjoyment!
