Cheryl H. has been dealing with a water problem in her basement for quite awhile and had become more then frustrated with the situation. She bought her home 4 years ago. About 6 months after moving in, she noticed water pouring into her basement. To add to the issue, Cheryl loves to travel and became extremely worried about how that would effect her ability to leave her home and have the peace of mind that everything was going to be safe at home.
In an attempt to fix it themselves, Cheryl H and one of her friends grab some sealant, but it was a band aid fix. In a short period of time, the water returned. She thought it was a plumbing issue so she called another contractor to help. Once again this did not fix the problem and she did not know where to turn. After seeing multiple TV ad's and all of the Thrasher trucks around Wichita and surrounding community's she knew she had to make the call.
We installed a WaterGuard system that captures water and then redirects it to our SuperSump Plus that removes the water away from the home. We also installed CleanSpace to her basement walls creating a protective barrier to prevent water from reaching the basement but also preventing mold to grow.
To prevent their damaged driveway from getting worse, Norman D. in Goddard, KS, wanted to have it professionally repaired to stand the test of time. Familiar with our reputation and dedication to providing permanent solutions, he didn't hesitate to give us a call for repair options.
There were multiple areas on the driveway and back patio where large voids were visible, causing them to sink. Norman opted to have our 2-part concrete protection system installed, which consists of our PolyLevel concrete lifting foam and NexusPro joint sealer. The PolyLevel is injected underneath the sunken slabs to level and stabilize the surface, while the NexusPro is used to seal all cracks and control joints for a flush appearance.
Check out the transformation of these front steps. These homeowners were unable to use their front steps due to some major damage. We used our polyurethane foam to lift the sidewalk back into place and ensure it's level with the stairs. The foam works wonders by expanding into the gaps between the slab and the soil, providing a stable foundation.
Now, the homeowners can use their steps safely without worrying about anyone getting hurt!
This homeowner had a tremendous amount of water coming into her basement every time it rained. Her children's' rooms are in the basement and the walls had started to smell and show signs of mold growth. After looking into options for fixing her basement problems online, she decided that our professionalism and help with financing was her best option to fix her basement.
We sent System Design Specialist Jon Graves to inspect the basement water problem and determine what was causing water to get in as well as suggest solutions to keep the basement dry and free of mold. Jon found that water was coming in from the cracks in the walls and through the cold joints. There was existing waterproofing in place, however it wasn't functioning very well. After talking to the homeowner about a full perimeter system and a solution to prevent mold, the homeowner was very excited for her installation appointment. One of our installation teams went out to this home and they utilized WaterGuard Interior Drainage System, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to keep the full basement dry all the time. Then, the installation team utilized a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the basement humidity low and prevent mold growth and allergies.
The homeowner was relieved that her basement was a functioning space and that the allergies and humidity in her home would improve. Check out the newly waterproofed basement!
Deb I. and her siblings recently inherited their parent’s home in Grand Island, NE, and they wanted to have it fully inspected to ensure it’s in proper condition. They called Thrasher for their home repair needs because of our reputation and recommendations from surrounding people. During the inspection, System Design Specialist Brandon Headrick noticed the home’s crawl space had severely high moisture and humidity levels.
To combat the crawl space issues, Deb opted to have Thrasher encapsulate the entire space. Our team began by completely clearing out the crawl space, and then applied our CleanSpace moisture barrier to all floors and walls. To drain the captured water, the crew installed our SmartDrain system that alerts the homeowner if there’s ever a plumbing leak, and if there is it automatically drains the water into a dry well beneath the CleanSpace waterproof barrier. These two products work together to perform the ultimate crawl space encapsulation in order to keep it dry year-round.
Deb and her siblings were more than pleased with our crawl space solutions. They were impressed with the efficiency and display of professionalism from our team and were relieved to have their parent’s home fully repaired. Thrasher was able to restore their peace of mind by improving the quality of their new home.
