CompressionGuard Installation

Weather changes can greatly impact soil consistency which in turn impacts concrete slabs. The slabs can shrink as temperatures drop and expand when they rise. Because of this, concrete slabs should have expansion and contraction joints, if they don't a phenomenon called "Street Creep" can occur. Street Creep happens when roads lengthen over time and push your concrete. To prevent this from damaging your home, we have a solution called CompressionGuard! CompressionGuard is maintenance-free and creates a wide range of motion for concrete to shift throughout the seasons.

Concrete Repair in Omaha, NE

After previously using Thrasher for other projects, our customer in Omaha, NE wanted to repair her sidewalk leading up to the house. Dry-out spots of the soil underneath the concrete were causing the sidewalk to set and giving tripping concerns to this customer. Our team determined that using PolyLevel foam and NexusPro would be the best solution to solve her concerns. PolyLevel foam fills the void under the concrete and raises the sidewalk back to its original place. After the foam is in place the NexusPro seals and protects the joints not allowing water or any other chemicals under the concrete to cause the same issues in the future. Her sidewalk is now safe to walk on and protected for years to come.

Driveway Repair in Oakland, NE

This homeowner was wanting to make sure her home was prepared and safe for her children who are going to take it over in the future. She did not want to leave any problems unsolved, that would cause her children issues into the years to come. She wanted a company that does things right and had heard great things about Thrasher, so she gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with her. He did his inspection and came back to the homeowner with the findings. Corey found there was poor compacted soil, the heat we experienced this summer really helped contributed to the settlement. Joints in the problem areas were not sealed, allowing water to weaken or wash away the soil holding up the slab. The concrete did not have a functioning expansion joint which was leading to some damage from street creep on the garage slab. The slabs in front of her driveway gave her a speed bump into the garage and the walkway to the door was dropping down. Together, Corey and the homeowner, decided to use our Concrete Protection System, and an expansion joint. We used the Polylevel foam to lift up and level the dropped area. We caulked up any joints and cracks to fix and prevent water intrusion with NexusPro. We finally put in a proper expansion joint to absorb the expanding concrete from further movement towards the home. The homeowner was so happy to hear this would be a repair vs a replacement. Check out or before and after of this one!

Pavement in Emerson, NE is lifted and leveled

Janice R. lives in the small town of Emerson located in Northeast Nebraska.  In a small town like this people are helping their neighbors especially people like Janice. She called because her driveway was sinking in a few spots. This caused problems when others were doing snow removal for her.  Not just because of the snow removal but Janice just wants her property kept up the right way and to replace her huge driveway would be very expensive.

Thrasher was able to resolve her problem by leveling the concrete with PolyLevel. We then sealed the joints with NexusPro. Lastly, CompressionGuard was installed to help prevent street creep.
