This 100-year-old house had walls that were starting to bow and this homeowner was worried that the foundation may collapse. This bowing-wall problem is caused by the normal geostatic pressure and water pressure pressing the wall for 100 years. We fixed this issue by installing wall support to stabilize the walls and keep them upright.
This homeowner wanted to protect her 100-year-old house's walls that were starting to bow and fall in. This was caused by the geostatic pressure and water pressure against the walls that have been building up for 100 years now. We installed GeoLock channel anchors to stabilize the walls and keep them upright.
This property was actually a rental home for the customer, and during the inspection, the inspector pointed out some problems with the walls that needed to be fixed before they could give they okay. Specifically, the south wall of the house was bowing about 1 1/2 inches and it needed immediate support.
Since there were some challenges with the project, like the use of Red Clay tile, our team decided that Power Braces would be the best option. We carefully chose these braces because they were the most suitable solution considering the specific constraints and difficulties of the project.
By using Power Braces, we were able to stabilize the wall effectively. It provided the customer with a solution that was appropriate and efficient, addressing their needs without any unnecessary extra steps.
Wet spring soils swelled up with water pushed this basement wall inward. As you can see the crack in the wall is opened up wide. About a half of an inch. The next photo will show the wall is pushed back and the crack is closing as the wall is straightened.
These homeowners had used our services previously when their family moved into their home, so when they found a large wall problem upon remodeling their downstairs bathroom, they knew just who to call. System Design Specialist Kevin French came out to this home once again to inspect the wall problem and determine what happened and how to fix it. Kevin found that the previous seller of the home was hiding wall damage by putting the unfinished bathroom in so that the leaking and wall cracks wouldn't effect the sale. He was shocked at this problem and so were the homeowners, but he knew just how to help them so that this problem could be fixed quickly. One of our installation teams came out to the house and utilized PowerBraces, GeoLock Wall Anchors, a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, and a TripleSafe Sump Pump System to effectively support, strengthen, and waterproof the basement so that no more surprise problems will hurt the homeowners' basement. The homeowners loved the job that the installation team did and they couldn't believe how cleaned up it was after the team left. Check out the PowerBraces installed!
