Longtime homeowner Marjorie A. was looking to pass her home on to her grandson. She wanted to make sure that the home’s foundation was in good condition and wouldn’t cause any problems for her grandson, she decided to give Thrasher a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Jon Young out to Marjorie’s home. He found that her foundation walls were bowing in. The crew installed Geo-Lock wall anchors to stabilize the walls. The anchors will permanently stabilize her basement walls, offering the best opportunity to straighten out the walls. Marjorie was extremely happy with the end result and was given a peace of mind.
Jeremy and Rita just purchased their forever home. But in order for them to turn it into their own oasis, they want to do a full remodel. Before they start the construction, there's one thing they need to do first. Repair their foundation.
They called Thrasher to perform an inspection. Clint Gerber went out to their home to look at the foundation.
Upon inspection, he found that since the house sits on a hill, it has settled due to water runoff. On top of that, a wall that supported the deck and ran along the home was failing.
To resolve these issues, we utilized push piers to lift and stabilize their foundation. We also used carbon armor to support the wall that was failing. Jeremy and Rita were ecstatic about the outcome and are excited to start the renovations on their forever home.
These homeowners in Bolivar, MO were concerned because their basement walls were caving in. They feared that if they didn't solve this, their walls would collapse and cause very large problems in their near future. They had heard of our solutions, so they decided to give us a call for a discussion and inspection of their walls.
System Design Specialist Justice Haven arrived at these homeowner's home to inspect the basement walls which were failing to determine what solutions we could offer. Justice found that pressure from the back of the walls was causing the walls to cave inwards. After discussing with the homeowners that the problem has a solution and reassuring them that they caught the problem early enough, Justice called one of our installation teams. This installation team arrived and placed PowerBraces along the failing walls to stabilize the walls, as well as help to push the walls back to their original position over time with tightening.
The homeowners were quite pleased with their newly supported walls. They loved the solutions as well as the installation team who helped them to fix their failing walls. Check out their newly installed PowerBraces!
This homeowner tried to lift her concrete deck with big box store jacks, but it sank more and cracked the step. She was frustrated with this, so when she looked for companies that could stabilize her step, she gave us a call first.
We sent System Design Specialist Tyler Bovee to inspect the current lifting jacks under the homeowner's deck to determine what we could do to properly support the deck. Tyler found that the concrete deck was too heavy for the store bought jacks, and that the weight of the deck is pushing the jacks down further. He discussed this with the homeowner, then called for a crew to get to work on supporting this deck. One of our crews came out and installed SmartJacks in order to bear the weight of the concrete deck, then they used NexusPro to seal and repair the crack in the step.
The homeowner was very happy with the results of her deck repair. Check out her newly repaired deck!
This homeowner's basement walls were experiencing severe wall failure. So much so, they felt hopeless. When we performed our inspection, we decided the best solution to fix this foundation would be wall support. But not just any wall support - this was a job for our EverBrace system. EverBrace uses steel panels and beams that work together to transfer the load of the failing wall to the new support panels. Now, the wall is 100% supported and the home is saved.
