Wall Failure Repair in Anthon, IA

These home owners were thinking of tearing apart their basement because he wanted to remodel, make some nice additions, and make it a livable space. When he started to move around some boxes, he noticed how bad the wall was failing. They knew they needed somebody that can do quality work and ensure they can finish their basement safely and confidently. They called Thrasher and System Design Specialist, Corey Little, came out to meet with them. Corey inspected the foundation, and determined the walls were starting to fail due to expansive clay soil and hydrostatic pressure from water build up. Corey went to the homeowners and proposed we use our EverBrace system. EverBrace is used in cases of extreme movement. We use beams and steel paneling that has foam pumped in between the failing wall and the wall we created to transfer the weight off of the failing wall. Corey also proposed we use WaterGuard behind our EverBrace wall with a sump pump that way if the failing walls start to leak, it won't be a problem later. It would be best practice so we would not have to rip into the wall system if water intrusion happens. The homeowners were ecstatic they would not have to move out of the home for an extreme wall repair. They were happy they will have peace of mind with a company that stands behind a 25 year warranty. Floor and Wall Cracks Repaired in Lansing, KS

These homeowners flipped their older home and they were excited to start their future in this home. Shortly after they moved in, they began to notice that the garage floor was cracking and that their bathroom and bedroom had started to show wall cracks. They were very concerned about this problem, so they decided to give us a call to see what was happening in their forever home.

System Design Specialist Tom Studer drove out to this home to see what was causing the garage floor and the walls to crack. Tom found that the garage was falling down because there were large voids underneath the footing. He also found differential settlement happening along the garage wall that was affecting the other rooms with wall cracks as well. He discussed these problems with the homeowners, and how we could fix them, and the homeowners couldn't have been more eager to have these problems fixed. On of our installation crews went to the home and used a Push Pier System to lift and stabilize the garage from any further damage.

The homeowners were so excited to have their problem fixed, and they are relieved that their forever home is stable. Check out the push pier system in action, lifting and stabilizing the home and the garage!

PowerBrace Wall Stabilization in Shawnee, KS

These homeowners wanted to refinish their basement, but their bowing basement walls were stopping them. The problem was that they had top shear on one of their foundation walls and hydrostatic pressure from the soil on the outside of the walls. Our team fixed these problems by installing PowerBraces on the "problem" wall. We decided to use PowerBrace because the walls were poured and the deflection wasn't to the point of requiring another fix. Now the wall is stable and these homeowners can start their refinishing project!b

Sagging Porch Floor Lifted in Lenexa, KS

This homeowner was using his covered porch space as an exercise room, however he recently noticed that the floor was a bit unstable. He was concerned that he wouldn't be able to exercise in his room if he didn't try to it, so he decided to give us a call.

We had System Design Specialist Daryn Britton look at the structure of the porch and determine what was causing the floor to feel unstable. Daryn found that the floor was unstable because there was not a strong enough support system underneath the porch. In order to fix this, Daryn suggested that the homeowner had SmartJacks and a new support beam installed. The homeowner liked this solution, so we had an installation team use these products to lift and stabilize the homeowner's porch. The homeowner was happy with the outcome, and he is excited to use the space without worry now. Check out the new support structure under the porch!
