In Hampden, ME, this homeowner had a problem with their basement. Anytime the snow melted or heavy rain came down, their basement would get wet. Flooding twice last year, this homeowner was ready to take care of their basement troubles and called TC Hafford Basement Systems for a free estimate. Eager to help, System Design Specialist Craig Ziegenbein met with the homeowner and worked with them to design a system that was specific to their needs.
The homeowner wanted to use their basement year-round for storage, so keeping the whole basement dry was important to them. WaterGuard was laid around the perimeter of the basement, with TrenchDrain in high-traffic areas. WaterGuard collects and channels the water to the new TripleSafe Sump Pump, and TrenchDrain ensures all water is collected at the entryways. The TripleSafe Sump Pump is capable of pushing all the water from the WaterGuard out of the basement and through the new Buried Discharge Line. To make sure the system works during the freezing winter months, IceGuard was attached to the Buried Discharge Line to prevent ice buildup. Now the homeowner can use their basement as they please since their basement is fully waterproof and will stay dry all the time.
This Vinalhaven, ME homeowner wanted to take care of their basement and preserve the health of their beautiful home. After noticing how wet their crawlspace would get, the homeowners called TC Hafford Basement Systems, and System Design Specialist Todd Bernard met with the homeowner to help them accomplish their goals. Todd put together a complete system that would protect the home from future water. In the system, Todd used CleanSpace with drainage matting to encapsulate the crawlspace portion of the basement. In addition to the CleanSpace, Todd used WaterGuard to capture any water and move it to a TripleSafe Sump Pump System where it will be pumped 40 feet away from the home through a buried discharge line. Now the homeowner can rest easy at night, knowing that their basement is now protected, and the health of their home is preserved.
Living in a home with a regularly flooding basement, this Bangor, ME homeowner was looking for ways to put an end to this flooding. The homeowner was referred to us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and called our office in Wells, ME to ask about a free estimate. After hearing what we could do for them, the homeowner hired us to get started on solving their wet basement problem.
When our installation crew arrived at the home, their first task was to remove the old basement floor and replace it by pouring a fresh slab. This new slab, however, was fitted with WaterGuard Piping around the perimeter, just below the surface. These pipes inside the floor will capture any moisture leaking in through the concrete, trapping it and directing it to the newly installed SuperSump pump. Now any leaking water will be removed from the basement by the SuperSump before any of it can reach the surface of the floor. The water then exits the discharge line a distance from the home where it can harmlessly drain into the ground.
With a proper waterproofing system in place below their home, this homeowner can now expect to find a dry basement even during rainfall. The WaterGuard piping alongside the SuperSump pump will ensure this basement remains completely water-free!
This Hermon, ME homeowner would occasionally find their basement floor pooling up water during or after heavy rainfall. Looking to put an end to this leakage, they called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems and our crew was able to get started on the solution soon after. To capture any leaking moisture before it can reach the surface of the floor in the future, a WaterGuard piping system was buried beneath a fresh layer of concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor. This piping feeds directly into the TripleSafe pump where it deposits any collected moisture to be removed from home through a PVC discharge line. To further protect this basement from potential for flooding, an IceGuard specialty pipe section was attached to the discharge line on the exterior of the home. This piece of piping will allow any water blocked by ice or debris in the lower line to escape the pipe before backing up into the interior of the basement once again.
With these permanent solutions in place, this homeowner can rest assured their basement will remain dry for years into the future! The WaterGuard piping alongside the TripleSafe sump will keep any would-be flooding at bay.
In the market for an upgrade to their existing sump, this Bangor, ME homeowner called us at TC Hafford Basement Systems to see what we could do for them. Shortly after receiving their free estimate, they gave us the green light to get started on the installation. When our crew arrived at the home, they began by removing the existing sump from the basement. Once the failing sump was removed, a SuperSump pump was installed in the floor. The new SuperSump can remove over 2,600 gallons of water from the home every hour, which exits the basement through a PVC discharge line. Outside the home, IceGuard & LawnScape pipe segments were attached to the discharge line to further protect the basement from flooding. The IceGuard section protects against blockages within the line such as ice by allowing a route for any blocked water to escape the line should water begin to travel back up the pipe. On the end of the line, the LawnScape port provides a grate to prevent debris such as leaves from entering the line and causing blockages.
With their new sump installed, this homeowner no longer needs to worry about any rainwater overpowering their system and flooding their basement. The SuperSump pump will ensure this basement remains water-free for years down the road.
