Jennifer was very upset that her sidewalk had sunken 2 inches from her porch when her home was recently new. She searched for solutions to her problem and found MidAmerica Basement Systems’ PolyLevel solution. During her inspection, Mac had diagnosed how the issue had become apparent so quickly. A downspout was placed right next to the sidewalk, and was causing washouts, leaving large voids for the concrete to sink in. PolyLevel was injected under the concrete to fill the void, made of a waterproof material, and lift the slab back to its original position. PolyLevel helped close the 2-inch gap between the sidewalk and porch, leaving it looking the same as it did when it was first poured. It was also suggested that installing a new downspout line away from the concrete to prevent future washouts elsewhere.
Terrance and Deb were having issues with their sidewalk to their front door. Some areas had sunk terribly, leaving the entrance unsafe to access. They contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have their sidewalk lifted and leveled for the safety of their guests. Cole offered them the solution PolyLevel to be injected under the concrete. Once PolyLevel is injected, it fills the voids to create a stable hold, and expands to lift the concrete back to level. After PolyLevel sets, NexusPro Joint Sealant is applied to all the cracks to prevent future washouts of the ground underneath. This allows for a longer-lasting, stabilized fix for the sidewalk. Terrance and Deb no longer worry of tripping hazards for their guests.
Over time, the ground under concrete can shift and settle, creating voids. When voids are present, the concrete can sink and crack from stress. Injecting PolyLevel from MidAmerica Basement Systems will help lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. The PolyLevel fills the voids and expands to lift the slabs, leveling the concrete back to its original position. PolyLevel has a lifting compacity of 2,000 to 4,000 pounds per square foot while weighing less than 4 pounds per cubic foot. The waterproof material prevents the PolyLevel from washing out and will not rot or deteriorate over time.
Brad’s driveway had dropped roughly 6 inches from the garage's foundation, producing a large drop under the doorway. It was also creating tripping hazards from his driveway to his walkway. He reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have his driveway leveled. PolyLevel was offered to lift and level his concrete, eliminating the large drop and tripping hazards found on the property. PolyLevel is a polymer foam that is injected under the concrete, filling in voids, and lifting the slabs back to a level and stable state. After the PolyLevel was injected, all tripping hazards were gone, and the drop found by the garage door had been reduced to less than an inch.
In the camping grounds, there is a sheltered pavilion on a concrete slab. Over the years, the ground had settled, causing voids underneath the slab. Due to the weight of the pavilion, the slab started cracking and sinking into the voids, leaving for a hazardous area to use. Grounds keeper Mike reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems in hopes that PolyLevel would be able to fix the sunken and cracked slab. PolyLevel was injected under the slab to fill the voids. Once the voids were filled, the PolyLevel expanded to lift the sunken areas, and provide a stable solution for the slab. NexusPro Joint Sealant was then applied to all cracks around the slab to help create a longer lasting slab for the pavilion.
