Jim S. of Davenport, IA had crawlspace work performed by another company at the beginning of the 2016, but he wasn't happy with the work that had been done. He called MidAmerica Basement Systems for another estimate, and a look into the problem. After meeting with design specialist Mike Banks, Jim S. was ready to get his damp, musty crawlspace encapsulated and dry.

Rob recently moved to a new home and was concerned about the untreated crawlspace. The previous owners had tried to make the area moisture proof by installed foam boards along the wooden joists flooring system. Rob reached out to MidAmerica Basement Systems to had the area properly sealed. He was offered a CleanSpace encapsulation. CleanSpace is a thick liner that permanently seals off exposed, damp dirt from the rest of the crawlspace. Sealing off the ground with a vapor barrier has significantly improved the efficiency in the home over the foam boards that were originally installed in the crawlspace.

This crawl space was full of debris and falling insulation. Barbra was looking to have it encapsulated to better protect the space and her home. Jake O, Antonio and Devin B removed all of the debris and old insulation and re-insulated the space with CleanSpace, a SmartSump, Drainage Matting and StarPipe. Drainage Matting was laid on the floor to create a thermal break in the space and help prevent surface water from building up under the vapor barrier. Then, the crawl space was encapsulated with CleanSpace! This ultra-durable thick vapor barrier seals out moisture, pests and drafty air and ensures a clean and healthy home!
