This crawl space belongs to a homeowner in Peoria who called the team at MidAmerica Basement Systems to encapsulate their crawl space. The team installed drainage matting to the crawl space floor. Drainage matting is a dimpled polyethylene membrane that is installed under the CleanSpace liner (shown in before picture) that allows water to flow to a drain or sump pump. CleanSpace is then installed over the matting and up the crawl space walls to efficiently encapsulate the space. CleanSpace is a very strong material that acts as a vapor/radon barrier and has an antimicrobial additive that resists mold growth. The team also sealed the vent to keep outside air/moisture from entering the crawl space therefor compromising its effectiveness as an encapsulation system. The homeowner has a dryer, healthier crawl space!
Dennis and Shonda have lived in their home for over 15 years. When they were having water in their crawlspace they called MidAmerica Basement Systems. Having water in your crawlspace can lead to mold and structural damage. CleanSpace in a crawlspace can help drain the water and help with the humidity.
Gail had begun to notice water seeping in through the crawlspace opening, making the basement and crawlspace wet and moldy. He was concerned with the current system that was installed, and quickly contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to have the issue resolved. Design Specialist, Dan, offered the solution of a total crawlspace encapsulation and a basement waterproofing system to keep both areas dry. CleanSpace Matting and Liner were installed in the crawlspace to prevent moisture from seeping in the through the exposed ground, providing a permanent seal for the home. Vent covers and spray foam were added along the crawlspace walls to eliminate moisture from entering and to make the area more energy efficient. WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump were installed in the basement portion along the crawlspace wall to discharge water from the crawlspace and to prevent water seepage in the rest of the basement.
Rich H. of Tremont, IL called MidAmerica Basement Systems with interest in getting both of his crawlspaces encapsulated in a home he recently purchased. The home was built in 1978 with two crawlspaces on opposite ends of the basement. Rich met with design specialist Dan Garner. Dan recommended SilverGlo Insulation Panels, CleanSpace Drainage Matting and CleanSpace. The crawlspaces both look great! Here's one before and after!
John & his family have been living at the home for 10yrs now but have noticed their crawlspace has been getting extra humid causing their upstairs tp feel musty and damp. Not only is it damp when it rains but their crawlspace brings in cold air in the winter. They called into MidAmerica Basement Systems to help fix their problem. Our Design specialist, Joe Sarb got the privilege to provide a solution for john. To help with the moisture Joe recommended encapsulating the basement with our CleanSpace Wall System. It's a heavy, durable plastic liner preventing moister from penetrating through and separating the home from the earth. Finall, to help keep the home warm during the winter Joe recommended installing SilverGlo around the walls of the crawlspace eliminating heat loss.
