Homeowners Maricruz and Daniel have lived in their 1960’s home for the last two years. They plan to live in their home for at least the next ten years. They would like to make one of the rooms in their basement a bedroom. Having an egress window installed in your home is a great idea for fire safety and to have it follow fire safety codes. Maricruz and Daniel contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems because they knew that the work would be done quickly and with the best quality.

Martin W. of Hudson, IA was having issues with water still puddling in his basement even though he had a sump pump. Martin called in to MidAmerica Basement Systems to have an expert come and address his water issue. Upon inspection, Martin was told that he needed proper piping installed, so that water could be directed to the sump pump. MidAmerica Basement Systems simply proposed that they install WaterGuard, allowing for water to flow to the sump pump, leaving the basement dry.

Replacing a standard old window with a new egress window will allow a second escape in-case of an emergency in the basement level of this home.

What was once an empty space, is now the most important area in this Cedar Falls basement. The TripleSafe sump pump can easily pump out 12,000 gallons of water, which will come in quite handy in the event of a major leak/flood. This 3 in 1 pumping system comes equipped with a battery operated back-up pump for those moments when the power goes out, which is common during big storms. The owner understood what needed to be done and with the owner's approval, Mike Clementz and the MidAmerica Team was able to get to work installing a SmartDrain waterproofing system.
