Waterguard Installation in Chesterfield, MO

John G. of Chesterfield, Missouri noticed that, even though he already had a working sump pump, water was collecting in his basement. He did not want to have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain storm, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help.

Design specialist Jake S. assessed the situation and decided the best solution was to install a Waterguard drainage system and a Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier. Foreman Mason S. then headed to the home to install these products.

The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. It accepts water from the soil before it reaches the surface of the basement floor. The Waterguard then drains the water to the sump pump.

John G. no longer has to worry about a flooded basement. He now has a dry and waterproof home.

Waterproofing System Installed in Chesterfield, Illinois

Emily B. of Chesterfield, Missouri had water coming into her basement, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for help. Systems design specialist, Phillip H. was able to find a solution and recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard.

Foreman, Donald A. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump uses a primary pump, secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump to keep you home protected all year round. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through basement walls. It then takes the collected water and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home.

Now Emily B. can sleep easy knowing her basement is dry.

Wet Finished Basement Fitted With WaterGuard In Creve Couer, MO

This Creve Couer, Missouri homeowner elected to finish her basement before waterproofing it. It took less than a month for her to regret that decision, as water began to come out onto the floor from behind the drywall. The moisture had badly damaged some electronics and several pieces of furniture, and she knew that it would only get worse if it was ignored.

In order to waterproof the space, a Woods Basement Systems team first had to cut away the bottom half of the drywall and rip up the flooring to gain access to the foundation. After this, a WaterGuard drainage system was installed. These gutter-like drains are put in place underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. The homeowner's basement is now protected, but she could have avoided a lot of extra work and expense if she had just waterproofed before finishing.

Fixing a Leaky Gap

There was a gap between the pipes and the wall in this home in Chesterfield, MO. that allowed water to leak inside.

To fix this leak, Dave P. installed a WellDuct™ system. This system is an extension of the WaterGuard™ waterproofing system that is usually used to drain water from beneath a window well. It was adapted here to collect the water pooling up near the crack and drain it into the WaterGuard™ system before it could leak through the gap.

Once the WellDuct™ was in place, the gap could be resealed to prevent outside air from getting in. With the WellDuct™ extension installed, water wouldn't leak through gaps in the wall, but would instead enter the duct and be drained into the sump pump.

Now the wall beneath this pipe is dry and safe from outside leaks thanks to the WellDuct™ system.

Uprgrading a Sump Pump System in Chesterfield, MO.

This home in Chesterfield, MO. had a finished basement with a bedroom. To keep this bedroom safe, a sump pump was installed to pump away any water that might leak into the basement as well as water that might build up in the window well.

While the system that was installed in the basement was good, it was not as waterproofed as the homeowners would like. That is why they asked Todd G. to upgrade their sump pump to a TripleSafe™ sump pump system. The TripleSafe™ system features three pumps that can work together to keep up with even the heaviest of rains and keep the basement dry. One of the three pumps is also battery powered, making it capable of continuing to pump when the power goes out and the other two pumps can't pump.

The TripleSafe™ also features an air-tight lid which prevents water from evaporating into the basement and making the room feel damp. With a plethora of other features, upgrading to the TripleSafe™ is a good move towards protecting any basement from flooding.
