Jill B of Chester, Illinois was looking to protect her basement from moisture and harmful water damage, so she called Woods Basement Systems for assistance and to explore her options. System design specialist Jeremy R. worked with her and gave her a free estimate on a custom-tailored, comprehensive waterproofing system.

Foreman Greg H. and his team installed WaterGuard drains and a TripleSafe sump unit to remove unwanted water from the home. WaterGuard is a French drain system that's installed under the floor slab for effecive, clog-free drainage without the unsightly appearance of a basement drain. It redirects water to the TripleSafe unit, which uses three Zoeller pumps for triple protection and features the UltraSump battery backup system to keep it running in any weather.

Water was entering a basement in Chester, IL, causing damage to it. To solve this issue, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was first installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the WaterGuard System, which was also installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good.
