In Waverly, Illinois homeowner John L. had a problem with rainwater in his basement. He called Woods Basement Systems to see if they could waterproof the space. Foreman Juan Hernandez and his team installed a waterproofing system to keep the space dry for years to come. Patented products like WaterGuard, IceGuard, and CleanSpace were installed in the basement in just one day.
Water was actively leaking in a basement in Friedheim, MO, causing damage and concern. To solve this issue, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. This basement will now stay dry and clean for years to come!
This combination concrete block and poured foundation in Worden, Illinois leaked with almost every rain. The hollow, concrete blocks would fill up with water, and groundwater would seep through at the mortar joints as well as the joint where the block wall rested on the poured wall.
Woods Basement Systems repaired the wall by first drilling small "weep holes" every few feet in the bottom row of concrete block to alleviate the hydrostatic pressure inside and against the block wall. To drain the leaky block wall, the crew fastened the BrightWall basement wall system to the basement walls, draining any wall leaks into the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system—where it could then be pumped out and away from the basement.
The concrete block section of this foundation wall leaked at the transition joint between the block foundation and poured concrete wall. The block wall also leaked at pipe penetrations and other outlets along the wall.
By installing a perimeter drainage system and a vinyl wall covering to drain wall leaks to a nearby sump pump system, Woods Basement Systems helped make this Worden, Illinois basement brighter, dry, and usable.
