Water leaking into the basement was mostly staying behind the drywall and collecting in a homemade cedar closet.  The water was leaking frequently enough to cause mold to grow in the basement and go unnoticed in the closet.  The basement odor and humidity finally prompted the homeowner to call us for a free inspection.  We installed our WaterGuard® basement waterproofing system.  This system comes with a written transferable warranty!

Water seepage is typical at the wall and floor seam in a basement.  WaterGuard® is an exclusive product we offer that will not clog like drain tile which is dug out and placed beneath the basement floor in the "mud" zone.

WaterGuard® only collects the water that once was getting on top of the basement floor, and allows it to flow directly to a sump pump.  WaterGuard® basement waterproofing also allows leaks from a block foundation that comes through a wall crack to get into our drainage system and out of the home.

Basement wall leaks were still a problem during heavy rains with the existing basement waterproofing system in this Clayton, Missouri home.  We added our BrightWall® wall covering that looks like a finished wall and at the base we incorporated it into the existing wall flange.

With a slab foundation the concrete floor is where the sill plate of a frame structure would be.  When enough water can pool outside, the water can come directly in to the home and get on top of the slab.  An exterior drainage system must be in place lower than the slab floor seam/sill plate and drained to a lower spot away from the building.  In this case, it runs across the smaller section of a blacktop parking area near a garage.

Single sump pumps do not offer enough peace of mind if your home has a finished basement.  Also, the open lid lets water vapor out and the increased humidity can help mold to grow.  Our complete basement waterproofing system includes a WaterGuard® drainage system, TripleSafe® sump pump with sealed lid and battery backup pump.
