For this job, we took care of this homeowner's leaking roof which caused visible damage to their sheetrock ceiling inside. Water was getting in through the gaps in the shingles which was caused by damages overtime and shingle wear. The first step to replacing this roof is to rip up the old shingles and inspect the layer below. If the decking layer is in good shape we can reuse it and save the customer money, but that was not the case for this job. The water damage in the home was proof that all layers of this roof were soaked and needed to be replaced. After the new sheet of plywood was down we moved on to installing Sealeron Ice and Water along with a synthetic underlayment. These two layers help further seal the roof and it also helps insulate the home. Finally, we installed the new shingles and this customer decided on IKO Dynasty DriftShake Shingles.
