Klaus Larsen Roofing recently repaired a 2-year-old asphalt roof where two shingles had come loose on the south side. The customer also reported that the flashing in one area was coming off, which required attention to prevent leaks. Our team replaced the missing shingles, ensuring a perfect match, and secured the loose flashing. These quick repairs helped restore the roof to its original condition, preventing potential damage. The customer was satisfied with the efficient service and the restored look of their roof.
A past customer reached out to us for a roof repair after discovering an issue while preparing for a paint job. When the crown molding was pulled off the front left section of the roof, deterioration was uncovered beneath it, prompting the need for immediate attention to prevent further damage.
To address the problem, we sealed the rake with ice and weather shield to provide an effective barrier against water infiltration. We then installed an ice and water membrane in accordance with KRS specifications. This included applying six feet of protection at the eaves, wrapping onto the fascia, 18 inches on either side of valleys, along all side walls, and around roof penetrations for comprehensive coverage. For the remaining decking areas not covered by the ice and water barrier, we installed KRS Velora 1 Synthetic Underlayment. This durable, tear-resistant material is engineered to repel water and adhere securely to the roofing surface, ensuring added protection.
This repair not only addressed the deterioration but also reinforced the integrity of the roof, leaving the homeowner confident their property is now better equipped to handle the elements.
Customer received recommendations for a leak near her chimney. Klaus roofing suggested Drift Shakes Shingles, White Metal (Standard), and Cricket for Large Chimney.
Klaus Larsen Roofing received a call from a customer, whose property had suffered significant damage when a tree fell on his roof. The inspection revealed the need to replace a substantial portion of the wooden roof, in addition to repairing the larger section of the EPDM roof and confirmed a full replacement was necessary. With expertise and efficiency, Klaus Larsen Roofing geared up to tackle this urgent roof repair project, ensuring the property would soon be restored.
When the homeowner purchased their split-level home just a year ago, they were quickly informed by their insurance company that the roof needed to be replaced within the first year. The existing roof had significant granular loss, which not only affected its appearance but more importantly, its ability to protect the home. Granular loss weakens the shingles and can lead to leaks and other damage over time, so the homeowner knew they had to act fast. Wanting to ensure their home was well-protected and looking sharp, they reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing for help.
The homeowner was clear about wanting Brownstone shingles for the replacement, which would enhance the home’s curb appeal while providing the long-term durability they needed. With blown-in insulation in the attic crawl space, we had to be especially mindful during the installation to ensure no disturbance. Following the Klaus Roofing way, we provided a detailed inspection and laid out a clear plan to replace the roof with minimal disruption, using high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship. Our goal was to ensure the homeowner had a roof that would stand up to the elements and meet all the requirements from their insurance company.
