This Colchester, CT ranch style house with brick exterior was returned to its prime courtesy of IKO Cambridge Driftwood shingles.
This late 50s era home in Colchester, CT had water leakage in several rooms. There was also issues with insulation between the dormer and the roof. We disposed of two layers of old shingles and replaced the rotted decking with new CDX plywood. The entire front shed roof deck was restored with Mule Hide purpose made flat roofing. Updated vents, flashing and a carefully preserved roof mounted satellite dish made this project a success.
On this Colchester, CT project we incorporated multiple skylights and replaced the shingles, which had gotten eaten by algae. We also removed all of the rotted fascia boards on the rear of the house and replaced them with cedar trim boards. Note the aluminum seamless gutters and down spouts, in brown, which blend in perfectly with the facade of this home.
This single-family home in Colchester, Ct was in need of a new roof. We started by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials and replacing 5 layers of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. We then installed a synthetic underlayment on all decking where there was no ice & water barrier, for added security. In terms of shingles, we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles int he color Weatherwood. We finished the job by installing a brand new Velux FS Skylight. This home is now complete thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
