Roof Replacement in Broad Brook, CT

Located in Broad Brook, CT, this home was in desperate need of a complete roof replacement. We first stripped the entire roof down to the plywood decking and hauled the debris to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center in Stratford, CT to be recycled into paved roads.

Next, we installed ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment-a durable tear-resistant material engineered to repel water and to adhere to the roofing surface. To top it off, we installed a VentSure Ridge Vent to provide consistent attic ventilation and replaced the chimney flashing with new lead flashing.

Roof Replacement in Broad Brook, CT

Josephine in Broad Brook, CT reached out, knowing her roof had reached the end of its lifespan and it was time for a full replacement. The project included both the main house and the barn, ensuring everything on the property would be protected with a consistent, updated roofing system.

Our team removed the old roofing materials on both structures and prepared the surfaces for a full rebuild. As part of the project, we replaced the existing skylights with new fixed deck-mounted skylights to improve durability and prevent future leaks. Once everything was properly sealed and prepped, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving both the house and barn a clean, cohesive look.

With the new roofs in place, Josephine’s property now has strong, reliable protection and a refreshed appearance built to last. The Klaus Roofing Way!

Insulation in Broad Brook, CT

Jerry in Broad Brook reached out with ongoing comfort and efficiency issues throughout his home. He was dealing with uneven temperatures in multiple rooms, noticeable energy loss, and recurring ice dam concerns at both the front and rear of the house during colder months.

After reviewing the home, we found existing batt insulation throughout the structure, along with several key areas contributing to the problem. The home includes 14 recessed can lights, an HVAC system located on the second floor, multiple kneewall spaces at both the front and rear, and several access points including six small kneewall doors and a David Lewis hatch cover.

Our work focused on improving overall insulation performance and reducing air movement through critical areas. We addressed the kneewall zones, insulated all access points including the doors and hatch, and improved coverage where energy loss was most significant. Special attention was given to sealing areas around the can lights and transitions to help reduce warm air escape into the attic space.

With the insulation work completed, the home is now better sealed, more energy efficient, and set up to reduce both heat loss in the winter and ice dam formation moving forward.

Roof Replacement in South Glastonbury, CT

Paul in South Glastonbury, CT, reached out when it was time to update the roof on his main home. After our inspection, we recommended a full replacement to make sure the house stayed protected through future storms and seasonal weather. Our crew began by removing the aging shingles and checking the decking for any weak or damaged areas that needed attention. Once the surface was solid, we installed our SealoronXT Ice & Water along the eaves and other vulnerable spots, followed by VeloraONE Underlayment across the rest of the roof to create a dependable barrier. With the base fully secured, we finished the project with IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving Paul’s home a sharp new look and a strong roofing system built to last.
